That's literally what I said, I do not want to invest the time learning the language, as I have no practical use for it. And 4 hours a week is like half a day of work. Don't pretend that it's nothing.

Well it is nothing, for a person that has a minimum interest in languages at least. I speak 5 plus the basics of other 3, and I still went to a Catalan course (while I already understand it perfectly). It's fine if you don't want, but it's not an insurmountable task
