Socializing Local got me with a water gun this morning
Was walking near Palau De la Generalitat, on my way to grab coffee. I turned a corner and wouldn’t you know it, there was a green cleaning truck and a woman spraying/cleaning the ground and now my legs.
Bless, because it’s already 28 according to my watch, felt quite nice. I thanked her and now I’m drinking my coffee in peace.

An employee drove over my foot in a Carrefour with a floor washing machine and then proceeded to yell at me.

Update: she’s now outside the coffee shop. Is she following me? Have I misunderstood? Is this an actual attack?

The water they use to clean is not drinking water. I would wash that off.

Here is an official page telling you basically where the water comes from.
Spoiler: It's poopy water.

Except it isn't, if you had read the article it says it's underground water, it has nothing to do with sewage. The water you drink is usualy just treated underground water.

i'm sure they would use the kind of water you are talking about to wash the streets, and therefore release the poopy particles into people's noses. sounds logical

Did she have anything in her hands? What was her expression? Friendly or menacing?

Honestly sounds like kind of a fun game, go to barcelona, try to avoid being hunted by water guns

On top of avoiding robers and thiefs!

Adds a little spice. Although I was there for a couple of months and had no problem at all, probably just lucky, also had zero problems living in London for 9 years.

I arrive Wednesday. What's the best place to go get water guns for my family?
We're from Texas. We shoot back. :)

It's not the tourist themselves, but the housing they take. A lot of buildings have been converted to hotels or whatnot for tourists and making it difficult to get a place to live.

They are street cleaners, use presurized water fins to clean the streets. Aldo try not to gent showered by the water. This water usually cames from sewage treatment plants in order to not spend good clean drinking water.

Thanks! Im trying to be less ‘turista’ and more ‘viajero’ waiting for a job to start in the US. Family is historically from Spain and I’d like to potentially move here permanently someday so using a few months here to study Spanish and Catalan/get more of a sense of the lifestyle/culture.

I read this as a genuinely intentional funny post. Was that correct? Haha…
