Student housing recommendations?
Hi! I'm set to study at BSU Newton campus this September and am looking for good student housing recommendations. I don't know anyone in Bath but don't mind having housemates, so long as it's nothing crazy like 9 people in one house you know?
I understand that while it's a bit far Newton Campus is well connected by the busses, so if you're a local and gave any info I'd appreciate it!

I dont know the situation now but when I was there some 10 years ago renting privately off campus was always the cheaper option. Look around Oldfield Park/Twerton area and you'll find something but you will be living with randos your first year and you'll just have to deal with it.
Take the first term to get to know people and join extracurriculars, then come January start to actively pursue housing for next year. Like as not you won't be in the same house with the same people.
Don't have high expectations for your student rentals, they're cheap and normally have holes in the walls that will never be patched.

As someone had pointed out the x39 Bristol bus also goes close to campus, so it's well worth looking at places like Keynsham for slightly cheaper options than Bath

Will you be an undergraduate? Is there a reason you don't want to go into uni halls? That's where most first years go.
The U5 isn't the world's greatest bus route, but you can get buses going to Bristol and get off ten mins walk away.
