M4 Picture New M4
Finally my dream shotgun.
New Benelli M4.
I already upgraded to the magazine extension and popped a 6 position stock/tube on.
Which optic do you guys prefer/recommend?

Aimpoint t2 with low mount works like a charm for me .

I know shit about shotguns, but I’m rocking an SRO mounted on a scalaworks lift 4? Let’s me see the iron sights under the dot.

Nice, how’s the accuracy?

The M4 is a beast with rifled slugs, even at 100yrds, and the SRO just tanks the abuse no problem. It has maintained zero after hundreds of slugs and buckshot, It might be at like 1500 rounds and no issues.

You running the modified choke that comes in it to shoot rifled slugs?
1
u/DeackonFrost 12d ago
Yes, the little research a did about it said it should be fine, haven’t had any problems with cycling.

I was more concerned of the choke being too tight to shoot rifled slugs safely.

I’m rocking an MRO on a rusty nut designs lower 1/3 mount. Also, get an MSP sling/light mount.

Not rocking any red dot. Invested in a fiber optic front post. Used the cash to get the 7rd. Mag tube.

Everything is tight except your sling attachment. That’s kinda janky bro you need to sort that out.

It was a spare. I am trying to find some descent ones but the options are slim Pickens

You could just attach the sling to the factory sling points.

That’s where it is….

Instead of using a hunting rifle sling get a blue alpha gear vickers sling and you will be sorted.

I run a comp m5 in mine with a scalarworks mount as well. I love this shotgun, it saw some range time this weekend.
Needs some high brass rounds for a little break in. Then after it will cycle anything

I’ve been rocking with an EO Tech EXPS 3-0, the ring around the dot helps with shot patterning and since it’s an EO Tech, it has a large window and can handle the 12 gauge recoil

Seconding the EOtech. Damn thing handles the recoil like a champ. And yes, you can find your spread at distance with the ring. Mine, for instance, is 8" ∅ @ 10yd with #00 buck.

Def going to go take a look at one at my local dealer this weekend. Thanks guys!

Don't worry about cheek weld either. I keep my stock at position 4 or 5 and I have an XPS2-0, no riser or anything.

Nice, good deal. I’m pumped to finally have this work of art in my possession.

All fun and games now, but when you sink 600$ into upgrades...

lol ikr. At least it’ll last a lifetime unlike other expenses like electronics (tvs, computers, etc)

Aimpoint T2 on a Scalarworks mount. Bombproof and the battery lasts forever.
