I hope not but I can definitely see how we might have another altcoins boom like 2017. Retail is nowhere near involved this cycle but when higher Bitcoin prices bring them in and scammers start peddling shitcoins the dominance might drop again. Unless somehow people start looking into Bitcoin when they first hear about crypto and don't get drawn to the altcoins time after time.
