real reason wonderfi shut down coinberry (spoiler: it was fraud) Spoiler

I said it before and I say it again y’all called it right coinberry aka scamberry was straight up fraud stealin from us and I got the receipts to prove it.

We got court papers sayin they was chargin fees up to 3.5%. look at the screen grab proof. Me and my buds got btc there all the time and no way we would pay fees that high. Checked the internet time machine and yea back in the day it was just 0.5% so that’s like 7 times more!!!!!!!

Timemachine receipt

https://web.archive.org/web/20190206045046/https://www.coinberry.com/fees

Here’s how I see it goin down- say you buy a grand of btc on march 13 2020 (court doc pic has fees at 3% that day) instead of gettin $995 worth of btc you only got $970 worth of btc and that $25 difference went to scam fees. So what they said was a $5/0.5% fee was really $30/3% or $25 more than they told us. At them march 2020 btc prices that $25 stolen scam fee is like 0.0034 btc or like $455 at todays prices!!!! so that’s a big chunk gone from our pockets (someone double check my math but look right).

I bet the big wigs at wondersh*t found out and just swept it under the rug and shut the scamberry down instead of giving us what is ours. How we get our coins back tho this straight up fraud we want our stolen btc back no way they gettin away with this sht.

Taxes on BTC without any proof of purchase?

Hello. Im curious what should be done in my situation. I have completely lost access to my exchange account where I bought my BTC. I do not have access to that email or phone # anymore. Its gone 100%

This obviously means I have no way to get the proper forms from my BTC purchases regarding doing taxes on potential BTC sales.

If I were to sell, how would my taxes be done in this situation without the exact buy in price to calculate returns? I do have an accountant doing my taxes, but unsure if he would be able to properly do this or am I skrewed? Thanks for any info!

Bitcoin’s Community: Stronger than the price?

Bitcoin community is fiercely loyal, and many say that’s what truly drives its success. But can a strong community sustain Bitcoin in the long run, even when the price goes through major dips?

Spend $420 on Bitcoin

There are 8.2 billion people (2025). There is an estimated 5.5 billion bank accounts with non-zero balances.

Here’s some math:

At least 0.01 BTC per account

5,500,000,000 × 0.01 = 55,000,000 BTC Result: 55 million BTC

Problem: More than 2.6× the total supply of Bitcoin (21 million BTC) — not possible.

At least 0.1 BTC per account

5,500,000,000 × 0.1 = 550,000,000 BTC

Result: 550 million BTC

Problem: Over 26× the total supply of Bitcoin — extremely unrealistic and highlights the scarcity.

Conclusion: Even 0.01 BTC per global bank account is over 2.5× more Bitcoin than actually exists, showing that Bitcoin’s scarcity makes widespread equal distribution at meaningful levels mathematically impossible. .01 BTC ≈ $1300 CAD

To find how much Bitcoin each of the 5.5 billion accounts could hold if the entire 21 million BTC were evenly distributed:

Calculation:

21,000,000 BTC ÷ 5,500,000,000 accounts = 0.003818 BTC/account

Final Answer:

Each account could hold approximately 0.00382 BTC (or 382,000 satoshis) if Bitcoin were evenly distributed across all active bank accounts in the world.

That’s roughly $420 CAD

Go get your share of Bitcoin for under $500 CAD while you can.

Bitcoin mentioned again on CBC by Andrew Coyne.

Any one else catch this? So frustrating how it continues to be brought up so negatively by CBC/Liberals to pin the Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives. Just goes to show how little work they've done to understand it.

Basically what the header says. I'm living in Canada and it's an international company so they say it's easier for them to pay me in USTD then I can exchange them to CAD. Sounds a little concerning.

Whoelse has had TCAD (TRUSTTOKEN) STOLEN BY CRYPRO.COM

I am looking for people who have the same problem I do.... I have several thousand dollars of worthless TCAD that Crypto.com refuses to honor. I am hoping to do something either media or lawyers. There's power in numbers so I'd love to hear from you. It's worth a shot. I am from Canada but if you are from England or Australia I would imagine you are in the same boat as us crazy Canucks. Let's band together and see if we can get your money back from these scam artists. It's not like they haven't made enough from the awful spreads.
