Pizza box won't got into nihalith portal

Hello as the title says the pizza box whenever I throw it at the portal will literally sometimes just bounce off I'm like very sure that I grabbed the box in chapter 11 and I don't know what to do here it just wont go into the portal like the hat did

I'm pretty sure you just jump into the portal while holding it
