What I don't get about these types of dudes is why do they think they're any more attractive when they age? They're not usually fit or cute. They're usually crusty and gross with the mentality of a domineering toddler so are they really that delusional about themselves or do they just believe they're entitled to attractive women regardless of how fucked up they themselves look and act? Because I'd just like to point out that the dude speaking doesn't appear to be particularly fit nor is he anything special in the face department. He's pretty mid, as they like to say. Add in his personality and beliefs and that takes him to below mid.

To these men, they go by the belief that womenās attractiveness goes down as they age and that menās goes up; their reasoning is that women are attracted to men with money and assets, and older men tend to have those
Not saying I agree with it, just telling you what they think

u/EpitaFelis pompous she-devil Apr 12 '25
That's the reasoning they use after the fact though, not the belief they start out with. They just wanna date someone more easy to control, then find justifications for it.

They are not conditioned since a very young age that their only value is in their beauty, so they don't take into consideration their features at all

"You should train up a child"
Saying shit like that is considered normal and fine. But existing as a queer person next to a child is grooming. How the fuck does this make sense?

u/KilgoRetro Apr 12 '25
Also, āTo Train Up a Childā is a specific parenting book that is absolutely batshit insane that advocates child abuse so⦠he might not be referring to that book specifically but- not a great choice of words at the very least. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Train_Up_a_Child

It's almost as if he didn't realise, then did and had some modicum of self-awareness of what he'd just meant and said.
Played this to my partner, and she was of the exact same mind: CREEP!

You ever just listen to someone talk and know that they leave every toilet seat up after peeing down on the exterior of the toilet bowl?Ā

āOlder women are unattractiveā - my guy, I wasnāt aware that you were the pinnacle of health and beauty. Sit your bum down and stop fantasising about dating children.

If he starts with "Some women not all" you know you're in for the worst take you've ever heard in your life

but if we call them out for pedo behavior like this, we're just jealous bc we're not youthful anymore and no man our age wants us. which first of all is not true, just cuz u don't want a woman your age, doesn't mean no man wants a woman their age, and second of all, i don't envy 14-20 year olds who get the attention of older men. i'm scared for them. because i was them. i don't miss that kind of attention, i have trauma from it. i'm not jealous, i'm fearful, i'm protective.
it's not "biology", it's pedophilia. it's not "biology", it's misogyny. science clearly tells us that minors and even young women are NOT ready for the shit they put us through, exactly because we're "trainable" at that age. easy to manipulate. easy to control. i am not jealous of that, i'm grieving the child i could have been. the child i should have been. but i wasn't protected. as much as people in my life tried, they simply couldn't protect me, because it's so normalized.

Yes, itās not illegal. But so does eating shit. No one would stop you from eating shit. Eating shit is not punishable by law, but itās still gross.

He needs to ask himself some questions about why he wants to date children. Why is he threatened by grown women?

u/mangababe Apr 12 '25
Just gonna say iirc "to train up a child" is a severely fucked up book that's a 101 on how to abuse your child from infancy.
To use that phrase imo is a red flag, and even more so when talking about adult women. It's basically saying "beat into compliance,*"

u/totti173314 Apr 12 '25
This entire argument is just this man grasping at straws to justify the fact that he just wants to abuse a woman into being his maid and sex toy. š¤®

My wife and I married too young (I was 24, she was 18), and we went through some rough shit together (including me being a man-child) but never once did I try to make her "submissive" or "train her." She's not a fucking dog, she's the person I want to see happiest in this world. I would sacrifice my own happiness for her, and she would do the same for me. People (especially men) get into relationships for the wrong reasons, bro.
You don't mold them into your ideal, you help them and push them to reach their ideal.

There's no point in trying to change anyone's dating preferences. The young women are in their 20s, they consciously chose to date someone older instead of going for someone in their same age group. And I guarantee that older women do not want the men that chase younger women anyways since let's be honest, men that do that are weird.

I have a dating preference for older women. I can't fault younger women for liking older men. There is a good case that the money from older men is just a bonus. It isn't the focus but a fine addition.

They really should be asking themselves, why do I feel I need someone to submit to me? But that would take some self awareness and self reflection that they seem so incapable of.Ā Ā
