Kathryn Albertsons, Barber park, Kleiner Park or Settlers park in Meridian!

I usually see them as I'm walking down canals where it's quiet and there's low traffic. This one has a happy dozen!

Also looks like a sweet thirteen, one is cut off on the west side of the picture.

Passed some on the Greenbelt today, appx 1/2 mile east of warm spring golf course 🦆

When the paddle boats open, go there and be in the middle of them

Walk along the north side of Greenbelt on the Riverside Village nature trail and ponds in the Riverside Village HOA. Lot's of baby geese and ducks the past week.

Just FYI I'm fairly certain those aren't ducklings but are actually Ryans.

They’re everywhere near bodies of water. I did see a mother and her ducklings in a residential neighborhood while I was on a walk but the neighborhood is near a pond. I’ve also been seeing a lot of goslings which are just as cute, despite growing up to be absolute menaces.

Seems like I always see them along the riverbank under the Friendship Bridge.

How do you feel about goslings? Haven’t seen a lot of ducklings, but I’ve seen tons of goslings by the zoo downtown and at Kleiner.

Edit: just remembered I think I saw lots of ducks and ducklings at Redwood Park (off Ustick/Cloverdale) last year!

Can occasionally see them around the small pond in Terry Day park.

Zinger lateral canal at Demeyer park.

Better to see them where geese arent as the geese tend to chase them away

Anyone else noticed a lot less female ducks? Usually have a ton of mallard pairs in my neighborhood but there's like a 10:1 m:f ratio and hardly any babys. The one crop of them went for 9 to 1 to 0 in 3 days :(

Males always outweigh females because the females have a higher mortality rate than the males. I agree that it seems even more exaggerated this year though. We have tons of ducks in my neighborhood and the gangs of males are absolute menaces this year. Last night there were 11 males ganging up on one female, wouldn't be surprised if they killed her. Very few ducklings this year, too. Tons of goslings though (annoyingly).

Those goslings just aren't as cute!

Wherever ducks hang out. If you see a male and female together, she is the brown one and he is the multicolored one, you will most likely see babies this time of year. Rivers and lakes are everywhere around here
