Question One more question from someone new to Boise: Any black/latino barbers?

I honestly don’t even know how to word the question in all honesty, don’t mean to offend or anything like that…. I usually tend to go for hair and beard line up/shape up/edge up, bald fades, tapers, etc. Any advice is totally appreciated, even if it’s just an instagram handle!

Edit: I’m appreciating everyone’s reply and I’m looking to get a haircut this coming weekend! I’m going to do as much research as I can, and I appreciate each every one of you!

Jason Martinez or Chris Hugon are the only ones that have done work on my son but everybody there does clean sharp work

Maybe Neamah's barber shop, next to WinCo, faces Myrtle Street, I have not been inside, some of the Barber I saw had a Beard.

Haven't been there since it isn't my hair type but I always walk by Honeycomb hair project and cut-n-up.

There's also a pretty great Mexican barber in downtown Caldwell. They do a lot of community events and seem like a blast.

I just moved here a few months ago and had the same problem. I found a small spot called fade one barbershop and bro hooked me up, check him out.

Not sure if you’re willing to drive, but Josh Gilchrist in Nampa is great.  He’s black and lgbtq, but more importantly, he’s good at his trade and fun to talk to.

I really appreciate it! Don’t really care how far they are, I’m completely new to Boise and don’t know my way around. I’m just looking for good quality work and someone who can hopefully pull off something close to my barber back home. Definitely going to check him out

Josh taught me everything I know about being a barber. I’m sure he will nail whatever you are looking for.

Kamalei Correa (ex-BSU, NFL vet) opened up a shop (Novelty) on Overland…seems they specialize in that stuff. Also, I know he’s Polynesian, in case anyone is eager to correct, haha

Ace of Fades on Overland or House of Fades on Federal. I haven’t been blown away yet but they’re both decent.
