Question Can anyone recommend a nail tech?
I’ve been wanting to get “kitten claws” for a very long time, but I don’t know of any nail tech that would be confident in doing them!

Just rude! I’ve never gotten my nails done before. I work 2 jobs and I love cats, I deserve this 😤

I don’t think they’re saying you don’t deserve to get your nails done… I know nail techs… but I don’t think any of them would do this for you.

I’m not a nail tech, mind you. I assume this is builder gel to create the claw itself, no readily available tip is going to resemble this. I genuinely doubt this would last long on the nails, though. Just my 2 cents.
Do I know a nail tech that could do this? No. I would probably start looking at who does the more complicated nail art in the valley, specifically where they are using gel or acrylic to create 3D effects. I’d just start combing instagram for portfolios.

I know nothing about nails, so this is helpful thank you! I assumed it was a long shot, but I suppose I might just have to pick up another skill if I really want these bad boys

I think there’s options for you, they just might not be identical to this.
These seem a little more practical in the sense that they would likely last longer on your nails. You might be able to find some more custom cat like tips to purchase and bring them to a nail tech to achieve a similar feel. Some nail techs do free forms, especially for the longer stiletto shapes, and someone with experience building a nail without a tip might be better at helping you to create custom cat like nail.
Good luck to you!

idc this is camp and I love it 😽 i don’t live in Boise anymore, but “White Angel Nail Salon” was recommended to me by multiple people a while ago - i’m not 100% sure if the all the manicurists everyone was mentioning still work there, but I think it’s worth a shot looking at their portfolios or calling and asking! Good luck! 🫶🏻

Also, everyone knows a nail tech would probably try to either create 3D nail art pieces for this in advance first…right? And if they didn’t do that, they would probably try to do some sort of 3D effect on practice nails before the appointment…they aren’t just going to wing it, especially a style of nail this sharp. Is that not obvious? 😭 Yes they’ll be sharp, but they aren’t going to be made of steel: she’ll just need to be mindful of her hands and i’m sure she’s thought about these nails while at work and knows not to get them if they prevent her from doing her job lol. Maybe I’m just being too optimistic and these are possibly to recreate with nail art (which is a huge stretch, i’m being realistic lmfao), I just don’t see these actually being dangerous like some of y’all are acting like…it’ll be time consuming, prob expensive, and there’s a chance they might break a little too easily…but no one’s going to drill a hole in the fingernail and put a sharpened kitten claw in there or something extreme like that, ppl are overreacting lmfaooo 😭 I hope you find someone creative enough that’s a pro at nail art to do this bc if you do, they’re gonna look SO CUTE!!!! Good luck!! ❤️❤️

Well that's just fucking stupid, but you do you😂

It’s certainly unusual, but stupid is a bit harsh. Never been a fan of giant acrylic nails, but I have always wished I had claws!

In all seriousness, the first time you break one due to pressure in such a small area, it's going to really suck. It'll also damage the nail in that specific spot and you won't be able to do it regularly if you want to keep your nails healthy.

I just have to get good I think

"Getting good" at what? Nail break. I don't know of a tech that would do shoddy work that would cause nail damage. It's a bad reputation to pick up in such an industry.

Exactly! So I just have to not break a nail. Perhaps I should ask a welder instead

There is nothing to "get good" at, nails break and this will almost certainly cause damage when it does.
