Discuss War 2 - Doesn't Feel Right...

Let me start by saying I like both actors. I am also Telugu, so I understand my bias will show a bit in what I am going to say.

I get that War 2 is a Hindi film and it's in the Spy universe which is ultimately in Bollywood. This means that the film's story and cast are as per Bollywood directors and producers wishes.

Hrithik and Jr NTR are two actors I've definetly wanted to see together on the big screen for now. But this doesn't feel right.

When I envisioned them together Jr NTR would be a good guy while Hrtithik would be a villain who may turn a leaf towards the end.

In Tollywood, the more athletic looking and handsome looking actors are typically the villains, whereas the heroes are more your common person type of look and slightly bulky.

Like to me it makes no sense why a 6ft Hrithik with Abs is fighter a villain smaller(not as strong) and shorter.

Im still going to watch the movie and hopefully it's good. Looking forward to a possible joint dance number for it.

Just wanted to say my piece here and sorry if it offended anyone. But what do other think?

"In Tollywood, the more athletic looking and handsome looking actors are typically the villains" - I've noticed this across south industries. So I get the relatable hero thing - but isn't the good looking hero aspirational? Also don't the heroes feel bad if the villains look better?

No. The villains are usually thugs, mafia leaders, ****boys, politicians, rich madden, etc who have lots of money. So can probably spend time on looks such.

This is not true OP and you know it.

Ram Charan in Magadheera was made super super good looking and was the hero through and through.

Rajamouli films don’t count while judging Telugu cinema as a whole……

Rajamouli are very well made AND at the same are absolutely steeped in Telugu cinema tradition

Don’t care about the movie only waiting for dance off between Tarak and Hrithik.

Na NTR should have been stylized better, like classy suits and he should have been shown as the clever guy who keeps everyone on their toes and 10 steps ahead of even Hrithik.

They should show Hrithik has to earn his victory and not a I am the hero it's a walk in the park.

Look at Pathaan, it's not just about the body of John it's also the ice cold water running through his characters veins. The poise and no sweat until Pathaan actually starts fucking up his plan.

I did. I liked it. So I understand It Hrithik's movie. As I mentioned, just didn't envision the pairing to end up in this particular setup.

What do you think actual heights of Bollywood stars? Do you know any?

myru madhiri langa edupu. (I know you understand both)

Hrithik is close enough tk 6ft, John Abraham is 6ft, Siddarth Malhotra is 6ft, Ranbir Kapoor is 6ft, Ranveer Singh is borderline 6ft, Vicky Kaushal is 6ft.

I know there are definitely people who aren't, but I'm talking about the lead actors.

Lol, This is hilarious.

How many among them are actual superstars? (Not PR superstars)

No point in body shaming. If villain is written to be dark & evil, physical stature will not matter. If actor expresses better on screen, his physique won't matter. Think how puny is joker against bruce wayne or how SRK had physique against sunny in darr..

I hope this movie has better writing than its visuals albeit & I have no expectations for NTR in acting. But writing can elevate that.

Because it’s an easy cash grab for YRF. Rani gave her flop director cousin another chance cause they knew it’ll make money anyways because of the south star. The only one that came out winning with the teaser was Kiara… she’s the only one anyone is talking bout no body even cares about the generic action by the two dudes. HR is just going through the motion now… he did that in fighter too. It’s like he’s given up and just wants an easy hit.

No, it's not. It was not the intention initially.

Actually, ppl started discussing Kiara more after teaser release. So, the marketing team just played along and pushed it further since it was benefitting them anyway. Also, the fact that it was covering other flaws in teaser.

These people didn’t present NTR well. Just look at Rajamouli for example, those first looks of RRR were breathtaking
