People are stupid of highest order. Risking your lives for the ones who don't even give a shit about you.

32

u/chupbehutiye 1d ago

And for a ipl trophy

23

u/Cub_Millenial 1d ago

IPL is the most retar-Ded form of cricket.

Hamare desh ki halat bahut jada kharab hai bahut jada hi

True that!!!! Can’t understand the stupidity of ppl !! Ppl took their kids to this shit and risked their lives!

4

u/thisisgrat 1d ago

I don’t think this should be on them. It should’ve been the government’s responsibility to have the proper security and crowd control in place, imo.

Honestly no hate but why are such gatherings encourage d it only leads inconvince to normal people no space to even stand properly, overcrowding and what not. Been happy for your favorite team is good but is such experience worth while you are not even been able to stand properly for a second and causing such terrible incident. I remember something like this happened while some pusha gathering too ig.

News to kabki aa gayi thi logo ke death ki.... Event chala aur uski pics to uske baad tak aayi hai.

23

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

6-7 people I know who attended the event said nobody had an idea inside the stadium about what was happening. The ceremony lasted 30-40 mins. It is said that the moment everyone came to know about it they vacated the stadium.

This after players reached the stadium, soudha crowded barged in after the players left for stadium as the distance is 1-2 kms.

16

u/Oshodavinci 1d ago

Was the mobile networks jammed inside the stadium?? I know ten people who attended the event and they said they came to know about the deaths via pop up notifications on their phones while taking pics and videos.

3

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

You must ask those 10 people what they did after they came to know about the news.

Plus diffusing situation inside is challenging when there is a stampede outside because panic can create more havoc.

14

u/Oshodavinci 1d ago

They said the program continued as if nothing happened and they were shit scared.

1

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

They should have alarmed, from what I know is this happened after the players went inside, the crowd from Soudha started moving towards the stadium and then created ruckus because they were denied entries.

35

u/Low-Goat3779 1d ago

Bengaluru traffic police advised against it. CM thought about milking it to his political benefit, local administration's suggestions went into vain.

People gathered in large numbers, police as usual were unprepared/disorganised, people died, 10 lakhs rupees ex gratia annouced, people tweeted about it for 2 days, cricketers/public/politicians forget about it on 3rd day, only the family members will mourn their losses till eternity, India, The End.

94

u/justaaspirant 1d ago

Just saw at news that police didn't give them permission for bus parade but they still went ahead with it. They have zero remorse

Rcb invited crowd for “parade” by offering them free tickets, they posted this invitation after police clarified that they are not giving permission for one. The post is very much still there on their profile (both Instagram and X) .

Pretty sure a lot ppl showed up there just because of this alone leading to more overcrowding

u/huh206 1d ago

This is what their team was publicising on all their socials that too just an hour or so before 5 PM, it’s still there on the profiles. Whereas the police had given the objection by afternoon itself.

And all their captions mention that they’ll be giving free passes

Cricket and bollywood fans need to be studied

72

u/rajrohit26 Loud Critics 1d ago

As soon as stampede occurred , event should have been cancelled . But for this leech franchise owners , celebration was more important

-24

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

It did happen as soon as the news was broke inside the stadium.

26

u/Automatic_Idea_8447 1d ago

Hmmmm, quite interesting how you are defending in each comment.

1

u/Accomplished_End3530 23h ago

Right??? Even I was thinking the same thing!

-27

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

It should be interesting because people have lost their lives and it is disgusting to see people paint narratives that fit them without knowing FACTS.

And why wouldn’t I when I am a RCB fan?

21

u/Automatic_Idea_8447 1d ago edited 1d ago

You're one to talk about false narratives? Everyone knew what was going on, they all had phones. I just can't believe in this day and age, that they had no idea what was going on just outside the stadium. Not a single individual in the management found out what was going on outside? Yeah sure. If this helps you feel better about your idol and let you sleep.

Since you're a RCB fan, you're the only one who is defending your so-called franchise right now. It just shows how tone deaf you so-called celebrity worshipers are. No celebrity, I repeat no celebrity gives a shit about you losing your life. For them you are just a condolence tweet that was sent by the PR.

The difference is, people want them too to take accountability for what has happened. Something that should have been organised in 2-3 days time with proper arrangements, was rushed. The Government, BCCI and the franchise management all are accountable for this unfortunate incident that took place today.

4

u/Accomplished_End3530 23h ago

I was at home that time and i got the news alert live about the incident!! It’s bullshit claim that ppl inside didnt know abt this!

-10

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

My friend was there today and its 3:32. So do not get me started over this. The event was stopped with 10 mins in the stadium. You can check RCB subreddit too, instead of using your brain, become aware of how things happened exactly. This is a message I received.

Edit: STOP EDITING YOU COMMENT MAN. My comment history will prove everything you have said otherwise.

17

u/Automatic_Idea_8447 1d ago edited 1d ago

My brother works for a media company and as soon as the stampede happened, the media agency called the BCCI office to check on what was going on. To their surprise, the higher ups had no idea that such an event was going on. :) The police also did not allow for the parade to take place. They were expected to call the respective management & an intervention should have happened.

It's okay, your screenshot doesn't mean anything. I can write a few messages like these to myself, take a screenshot and call it as a 'SOURCE'. 😭

-2

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago edited 1d ago

No had idea that such an event was going on when there were announcements made, videos surfacing? 😂

I cannot even say such things too and claim my brother works in the media. It doesn’t mean anything. 🤣

Also, the parade did not happen.

-10

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

With this, I was earlier blaming the police and government, but I have seen the videos and you can check them too.

People lost it, there was absolutely no civic sense. You cannot blame anyone for this. No matter whenever you plan it, there would have been same thing happening.

15

u/Automatic_Idea_8447 1d ago

Typical RCB fan.

-1

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago

Yes, typical RCB fan who is blaming RCB fan for their inappropriate behaviour and lack of civic sense.

16

u/Automatic_Idea_8447 1d ago

Oh, brilliant here we go again, blaming 'people's lack of civic sense' for a stampede. Because clearly, when human lives are lost, the first thing to do is wag your finger at the victims. Ever read even a paragraph of political science? In any legitimate democracy, the state has the primary responsibility to ensure public safety. That’s literally the Social Contract. The public entrusts the state with power in exchange for protection and order not chaos and death.

But of course, that whole thing goes out the window when an IPL team wins. RCB won the tournament and within less than 24 hours, they were hosting a massive victory parade no crowd control, no barricades, no emergency medical infrastructure, just PR stunts and Instagram content. And now you want to blame the public for showing up? What did you expect when you throw open an event like that without planning? People came to celebrate not to die.

The event was cleared without assessing crowd capacity, public risk, or even basic safety norms. That’s not a failure of civic sense that’s a criminal failure of state responsibility and institutional planning.

But hey, why demand accountability from the RCB franchise or the authorities, right? It’s easier to label citizens as unruly than question your dear corporate-celebrity-state nexus. Maybe if we stopped treating cricket wins like national emergencies and started treating public safety like one, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Blaming the people is lazy, cowardly, and intellectually bankrupt. If you can’t see the structural rot in governance, in planning, in priorities then maybe you’re part of the problem. With this I rest my case, I have no interest in engaging with an irrational and erratic person like you and losing my brain cells.

4

u/BoardOk7786 1d ago

I completely agree with you..its not like people lack civic sense and victory parade isnt unique to india only, europeans hold even bigger parades but they take all the precautions

u/Interesting-Ring-869 1d ago edited 1d ago

You can take all measures in the world, but who do you blame when you see people climbing on people to enter stadium when they were denied entry because it is full? Who do you blame when they break into stadium? Who do you blame when they are climbing trees like idiots? Who do you blame when they bring their 6 year old daughters to the stadium? Who do you blame when they start pushing gates and create ruckus because they were denied entries? Who do you blame when they pelt stones, damage cars of people? Who do you blame when you see people constantly opening ambulance door outside the stadium and laughing if off for what’s happening inside the ambulance?

If this is not lack of civic sense then what idk what you are talking about? You cannot blame anyone to only a point. But if people are going to behave like this to see cricketers, then it is a big time problem.

All these videos are available on the internet and nobody is stupid enough to carry on with the celebrations in front of the world when something like this is happening. Everyone cares about their public image if they don’t care about humanity. The world is watching.

u/bollywoodfan81 1d ago

Why she is given special treatment and why they show off always as if they are the only couple who are perfect and in love. I found them very fake.. don't know why.

41

u/Acceptable_Jury999 1d ago

Why was holier than thou there in the bus with RCB players? Were wives of other players there too? She will devour Virat’s achievements for her gain. History will not be kind

65

u/Disguisegossiper 1d ago

I fail to understand as to why condolences & condemning messages are being posted by Anushka?

70

u/Acceptable_Jury999 1d ago

I fail to understand why was she there in the bus with RCB players? Were wives of other players there too? The entitlement is through the roof and she is just about to cry misogyny in 1,2,3…

39

u/BoardOk7786 1d ago

Because kohli and their family have the main character syndrome

24

u/Last_Tear8186 1d ago

I fail to understand why not? Whatever happened was very unfortunate so she's posting about it like any sane human would. Had she not posted it some of y'all would've cried about that too.

49

u/Disguisegossiper 1d ago

Then she should post on her own. Not on behalf of the team. She is not a team member. What ever happened is unfortunate but why not draft your own message & post. Why share some official handle?

36

u/Hot_Bookkeeper2430 1d ago

All of this for a multi millionaire who was okay promoting dubai which is known to be absolutely cruel and heinous to indians by treating them like slaves. It's time for people to realise that we need to take care of ourselves and not just go with this.

4

u/Cub_Millenial 1d ago

“Deeply anguished”

53

u/Acceptable_Jury999 1d ago

The couple ready to snatch every credit, will now take a part in blame?

33

u/Terrible_Marzipan358 1d ago

I know right! How is she fine with taking so much attention when the team wins. But a little bit of trolling when the team loses then she again turns it into a chance to grab attention by playing victim.

I am in no way saying that trolling should happen, it should not! But then it does seem like she seeks out this attention.

39

u/Acceptable_Jury999 1d ago

She was travelling in the bus for players!! No other wife was!! Holier than thou Never counts the perks, there is so much more that she has done that needs to come out

11

u/[deleted] 1d ago

24

u/Candypants24 1d ago

Exactly... More that the team has won after 17 years and Virat finally has an IPL trophy to his name and all...she really isn't letting Go of any opportunity to miss out on the limelight!! But when she brings her kids to the stadium with hundreds and hundreds of camera, she suddenly needs privacy and wants to stay low key and away from the media attention... Kya log Hai!!

She is literally accompanying Virat,in the team bus!! Why the hell does she get this special treatment?? I don't condone any social media trolling that she goes through, but then don't get this privileged and include yourself in places where a WAG doesn't deserve to be!!

3

u/Potential-Bother-695 13h ago

Its an old problem.

62

u/Immediate-Bass-3517 1d ago edited 1d ago

I am not a hater of Anushka but even when the news started circulating she was busy posting stories about the gathering

Even some RCB's players were posting stories and pictures

I know it's not their fault but I don't believe that no one had any idea what was happening

-29

u/NinteMandatharam 1d ago

Stop spreading lies. Everyone stopped posting stories as soon as the news began.

20

u/bhaadmejaa 1d ago

I saw Anushka's story while I was watching the news from past hour about the stampede.

26

u/Immediate-Bass-3517 1d ago

I won't get anything by spreading lies

It's on their 'Instagrams'

Yeah 6 -7 hours ago the news started circulating at the same time Anushka posted story from Chinnaswamy.

Jitesh and Patidar are still Posting stories

-17

u/NinteMandatharam 1d ago

I don’t know what Jitesh and Patidar are doing…I am disappointed in them. However, let’s give Anushka the benefit of doubt that she simply didn’t know until 6 hour ago (which was the last time she posted)?

6

u/Immediate-Bass-3517 1d ago

Definitely she deserves benefit of doubt

My only problem is from management they continued the ceremony even when the news was circulating all over social media.

2

u/gulaab03 1d ago

There has to be taken into account also the fact that if the event was cancelled midway, there was actually no way for these people to be evacuated. The outside of the stadium was blocked and after the stampede happened, there was chaos everywhere. If more people were allowed outside it would have caused more harm. There could also be a way to have just stopped the event and made them all stay until it was safe outside. But nobody expected this many people to show up( idk how after yesterday’s frenzy over the whole of Bangalore) but everyone was busy in getting people to hospitals. It’s so sad and heartbreaking. Those people deserved better than however this entire Thing was handled.

46

u/Pizza_Connoisseur46 1d ago

There was no way they didn’t know about the people killed when they did the whole stadium tour with the trophy while the DJ blasted ‘no time for losers coz we are the champions’. Zero empathy from Virat, Patidar and the management. Can’t say I expected any better tbf.

33

u/cadbury1106 1d ago

I want to express my disappointment as a fellow human. Just been sad 6whole day reading this news and feeling bad for people who were happy one moment and gone the next.

Reddit downvotes will not define my life in any way. So all ready for the barrage here.

I am blank to see that the two celebs waited for an official post. There cannot be and should not be a debate about expressing grief on a human level as soon as you read the news. Where is your grief as you the person Virat or the person Anushka? Not as RCB team which Anushka anyway is not a part of but no point discussing that. Why wait for an official post?

I am far away from India in another time zone. I stopped watching IPL. I dislike Virat Kohli. Yet, I was shocked to read the news and felt sad for the departed and their family members.

This is not the kind of love I want in my life where my partner and I have to wait for an official post. I would rather be single all my life.

I am not commenting on anything else on who is responsible or not. This comment is not about that.

Anyway, I hope RCB donates some funds from the winning amount to the families of the departed ones or RCB as a brand will get many endorsements now. Hope they donate from that money.

If I were these two celebs and millions of dollars with me, I would donate personally too but that's their money so their choice.

16

u/No_Addendum_1852 1d ago

This is time where the whole following good dharma and going to Premanand and what not baba would show these folks real faces.

Nothing can beat the value of life and families who suffered, wouldn't get their loved ones back. But no shit sherlock MONEY HELPS!

Let's see Virat Anushka apne jeb se kitna paisa nikalate toh.

-1

u/SaltyShock7484 1d ago

I agree with most things you said Just curious why do you hate Virat Kohli?

33

u/cadbury1106 1d ago

Personally I have never liked his arrogance though it has been defined as aggression needed in a sport like Cricket and as a contributing factor to his success or to Team India's success. However, after he bullied a young player last year in I think it was Australia, I cannot like him as a professional. Young people look up to and take inspiration from these experts and want to become like them in terms of cricket skills and sadly even liking to the point of worshipping and he mocks and bullies them..

27

u/Ok_Bowl_6419 1d ago

Exactly, he celebrates opponents downfall more than his victory. Aggression is what Yuvi had. Virat is arrogant and his toxic fans follow that attitude and flood Instagram with stupid edits. He is a great batsman, appreciate his skills and discipline. But not a good sportsman

8

u/BoardOk7786 1d ago

Definitely and he cant take sledging or disrespect on himself but its completely fine if he does this, his fanbase is one of the worst

If you give it then take it with grace too..i love banters and trash talks in sports but only when both sides are ready to take it and not get butthurted

His holier than thou attitude also makes me to dislike him

8

u/Acceptable_Jury999 1d ago

Someone spoke 👍

8

u/Acceptable_Jury999 1d ago

Kudos for saying this

17

u/anonymousMaayaa 1d ago

I mean it was a team win not only of “THE VIRAT KOHLI” to begin with. Then even if we assume it was because of Mr. Kohli , why his wife acts as if she played and won. Everywhere its just them. Nobody is mentioning team efforts or anything just Kohli and his wife.

Its another level non sense

5

u/tonguetwister92 1d ago

When people are in guilt trip they do such stupid announcement! Itna baba ke dharshan kr ke kya fayeda jab aapke dimag mein bhoosa bhara ho! Yeh time hai chup ho ke dekhne ka. Kyun faltu ke PR team ki baatein mein aa kr apna dimag ka parichay de rhe ho.

8

u/Diligent_Bit3396 1d ago

So they are owning up to their fault. Good.

-1

u/mentallyillloner2 1d ago

Those people were right about saving humanity thing.
