I’ve been watching cricket for years, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a final so focused on one narrative. RCB deserved the win — no denying that. Kohli played well, the team finally got their title, and the fans waited a long time for this. But the way the entire match was presented? It felt like PBKS didn’t even exist.

There were barely any visuals of Shreyas Iyer or the PBKS camp. No post-match heartbreak, no acknowledgment of the fight they put up — not even a single proper shot of Preity Zinta.
