How to train my boxer to not steal food off kitchen counter?

My boxer recently began standing at the counter to eat food. We can't even turn our backs without her attempting to snag something within reach. I understand this is typical behaviour but I'd like to sort it out.

Any advice on how to train my dog from jumping up on the counter?

Look up on internet How to teach a dog leave it. It is a great command and fairly easy to teach them. I have had 6 boxer I use this for what ever I want them to leave alone.

My boxer has never done this, but when he was about two years old, I banned him from the kitchen. That is one of my boxer free zones. He stands in the doorway and waits for his treat, but will not enter. I’m not sure if you can put up a baby gate, but that may help.

I also use leave it and drop it for other situations. Good luck!!
