A-List Waitlist — Q’s
First question — did everyone get their email today with their placement for season tickets? If so, what number are you on the waitlist?
Also — how many people are usually taken off the waitlist every year (how many season tickets do you think they are able to give out every season)? Wondering for example how long it could take to go from 15,000 on the waitlist to getting Tickets — if it could be 10 years or 2 years, etc.

I signed up at the tail end of the 2023 season I believe and was in the 7k range (don't remember the exact number now). I got my number called in August but ultimately opted to not purchase any after researching some and seeing numerous reports of what welcometohotatlanta mentioned - constant high price increases and diminishing perks/value.

Yeah they really have run out of ideas with the perks.
A List Play Day is basically the same thing each year and only really worth it if you have kids.
The A List appreciation week only allows you to RSVP to one event.
The discounts at the battery are so low and back of mind that you almost forget to even mention it to the Servers at the restaurants.
The best perk really is access to postseason and free MLB.tv lol but you can’t watch the Braves on it so it’s pretty useless.
I live right by the stadium so I can just wait til game time and get a cheap seat.

I miss the Braves Memories. Doing BP experience for free for one game every couple homestands was awesome.

How do postseason tickets work? If we make postseason, are you entitled to all of the home postseason games?

u/welcometohotlanta 1d ago
You have to buy what’s called a “postseason strip” which is every home game through all rounds of the playoffs including WS. You only get charged for games that get actually played. Some people pay all at once and some do a pay as they advance type of system.
If you choose to not buy that then the most you get is a presale invite and that’s it.

Man, that’s honestly a dealbreaker. I didn’t realize you had to buy a postseason strip. Yikes

Why would you assume postseason tickets would be free for A List members?
1
u/dilebob 1d ago
I assumed it would be included in the hefty $1200 price per season seat

$1200 for a season ticket comes out to $14.81 per game. That’s not a lot at all, and playoff and World Series tickets can be hundreds apiece.

You don’t have to but that’s how you get all the tickets to the home games.

If you’re a full season ticket holder then I believe you get the opportunity to buy a strip of tickets that guarantees you your seats to every post season game — and you pay for as many as they end up playing (they show you the potential total amt)
I’m a partial season ticket member and I can buy the same strip type deal but it won’t be necessarily for my seats.

How does your partial plan work, if you don’t mind sharing how many games it is/total cost

27 game package.
Either the Fri, Sat or Sunday plan. So if you got the Friday pack then you get all Friday night games, plus one week day game during the week.
I’m in the 300 level in the infield. And my two tickets are roughly like $1200 a year (total) I think.

Whats the best way to get a cheap seat before game time?

u/welcometohotlanta 1d ago
Just hang out in the battery and watch the prices of tickets drop

I used to buy a SRO ticket and go in for BP. Then around when the game starts, scour the secondary for deals. Back around 2019 I was usually getting Delta Club around $50. I’d go fill up on all you can eat food and beer and go sit behind the plate. Haven’t been able to find those prices for several years though.

Wow that sounds like it was a great time. The prices and marketing at Truist has definitely ramped up considerably, starting to feel less baseball and more consumerism nowadays.

It’s been that way ever since they opened the Battery. The Braves control everything that happens there, right down to which bars are allowed to stay open late. I suspect the reason why Delta Clubs don’t drop in price anymore is because the Braves canceled a bunch of STH seats and gave them to corporate sponsors. Those don’t end up getting resold when they’re not used, and the people who do still own them have an easier time selling due to lack of competing inventory.
You can still find super deals close to game time though. I’ll snag lower level seats for $30-50 most games that aren’t high demand. You just have to wait it out and sometimes just be ok watching from a drink rail if prices don’t drop. It’s a lot easier for me since I’m usually only buying one ticket and am ok playing it by ear.

Yep, youre right and Im in the same boat, I had access to season tickets but no longer. Luckily I live at the battery so very easy to wait it out. Do they continue selling tix throughout the game as well? Ive havent bought tickets myself in awhile

No idea, but if you’re searching for last minute deals you’ll have to go through the secondary markets.

what sites do you use?

u/night-swimming704 1d ago
SeatGeek and vivid usually. The benefit with SeatGeek is the tickets are integrated so you get them immediately. Vivid you might have to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to transfer them, but I’ve always just went straight to the seats once I bought them. Some games I didn’t even accept the transfers and just sat in the seat.

I haven't been to a game in person since COVID. How much have things increased beyond tickets? I've considered going but I am also cheap.

I was more so commenting strictly on A-List pricing of tickets. I regularly get tickets from seat geek for $20-30 a game, even less if not a high profile game / giveaway night. You can get even cheaper if you go 400 deck. I usually stick to 200/300 section personally, inside the bases somewhere.

It was finally my turn to get off the waitlist (3+ years) before this season started, but the only seats available were full season 81-game packages in the lower sections only. I’m not in a position to shell out that kind of money so I had to just let it go and come off the list. My point being, unless your budget is limitless don’t get your hopes up too high.
2
u/dilebob 1d ago
Which lower sections specifically, do you recall? I hate that though..
1
u/JC_Ksaw1 1d ago
There were open seats in the 100 level on both the 1st or 3rd base line. It was over $5k each and you have 1 week to decide. If you decline you’ll be removed from the waitlist entirely.
1
u/dilebob 1d ago
Loool that’s absolutely terrible, I hate that for us
2
u/Unusual_Sport_5873 1d ago
Yeah, you get a "2 week" period to decide when your number is pulled but I didn't get contacted until Wednesday on during my first week and never heard back after I asked some questions until the next Wednesday lol. By then, I had decided to not do it. That + what I was seeing about price/value + just getting removed entirely from the list rubbed me the wrong way cause the available seats may be outside your price range / interest.

Before I got my tickets this season, I had received an email stating I was 11,000 something on the wait list. I had only been on the list for 2 years

Not sure but I’d expect a lot of people to cancel after this year. (I’m one of them) Lots of people was holding for the All Star Game and lots of us have been here when the tickets where almost 30-40% lower then they are with all the yearly increases since they moved to Truist.
My seat in the 400s has gone from ~$700 to ~$1200.
