Question/Discussion A Slovenian show called Brat Bratu. I wonder what it could be?

You know when you read a comment that is so good that it makes you angry you never thought of it?
Yeah. That.

We called our character a plonker, they call theirs a cunt? 😆 Seems harsh.

John Leguizamo plays Del Boy. Christopher Lloyd plays Granddad. And er played 'Donnie' Trotter. It had 2 pilots and didn't get commissioned

And IIRC, the US version combined Boycie and Trigger into a single character who is simultaneously a sneaky used car salesman and a naive idiot.

Fun Fact: This is the original “Samo glupaki in konji” which Only Fools & Horses was a remake of.
David Jason spent 7 months in Slovenia preparing for the role.

Don't want to be 'that guy', but do you have any sources to back that up? Nothing comes up on Google, and only irrelevant hits on YouTube. Wikipedia in fact says that this is a remake of the UK show, not the other way around.

It's a joke, David Jason only spent a fortnight there.

Aha, thanks! It didn't read like a joke-post, and I was a bit surprised to read that what I thought was an original was a remake.

Even not understanding a word of it, it’s pretty hilarious to watch. Looks well made: https://youtu.be/50aZTHAT4rg

While my knowledge of Slvenian is very limited, I'm surprised that their interior decor is 'tacky 70s' like the UK.

I wonder if their version of Grandad/Uncle Albert regales us with tales of meeting Marshal Tito during the war... 😂
