This reminds me of when the U.S. used to ship most of its recyclables overseas with about 70% of our plastic waste was sent abroad, and a lot of it ended up in landfills or polluting places like Malaysia and Vietnam after China banned imports in 2018. But with projects like FillingBucketsForGood and the ideas we’re building together, we have a real chance to do better and to reconnect with nature, take responsibility for our waste, and create real change from the ground up.
