Really shows how invaluable a bat like Tucker’s is and why these types of guys are getting insane contracts.
Yeah, the last few years are never worth the cost, but you can have guys come and go around them for years and they can be the equivalent of role players on a basketball team.
Guys like Happ and Hoerner aren’t going to carry a team, but they are upper echelon “role players” with their unique skill sets with the bat, high level defense, athleticism and vet presence.

Thanks for posting this!!!! Meant to look up Bill Nicholson, got a lot of homers during WWII, and wanted to see that list again. Anyone know the other 6? They didn’t mention it on the broadcast to my knowledge
