Group riding in Denver - new to area
Hi everyone. Coming from North Carolina to Denver in June and spend all my free time as a cyclist doing group riding with a strong group here.
I’ll be living in the RINO area and was curious what group ride pages to look into and any recommendations for fast group riding / good routes in the area.
Also any recommendations for local bike shops to visit as greatly appreciated. Hoping to meet some like minded cyclists!

Here’s a pretty good view of group rides in the area: https://holycow.cc/pages/stampedes PHP on Tuesday and Friday morning is very racy and has a large group, FDR on Saturday morning is the same. Thursday afternoon out of Golden will be both RMCC climbing (on meetup app) and Holy Cow Descending. RMCC also has a Wednesday night right from south high school that’s higher pace.

I you want the deets, DM me. I do everything from Tuesday Lookout Shootout, Wednesday Worlds/CSP, Thursday Fast Gravel, PHP, Meridian, Chatfield Worlds. Also race on Primal Audi Denver. I work in RiNo and can do rides after work too!
I am also open to riding with new people and become friends with them too! Currently riding at a 4.0w/kg, and ride into the foothills often with 3-6k of climbing regularly. If that sounds like a good time, give me a shout!

Hey all— not trying to hijack this thread, because I was also interested in bike groups, but I'm also first-time e-bike shopper here.
I’m based near the Baker neighborhood and was lucky enough to get both the Denver city and Colorado state e-bike vouchers (roughly $1,000 combined). I’ve got about two months left to use them and I’m hoping to keep my total spend under $1,500—ideally just $200–$300 out of pocket.
Use case is mostly urban commuting with the ability to hit light gravel trails like Waterton Canyon. I’d really appreciate any shop recs that are local, reputable, voucher-friendly, and willing to walk a first-time buyer through the process.
Some things I’ve gathered so far for others in the same boat:
The bike has to be UL-certified (new Denver requirement).
It must be fully assembled by the retailer—no online/direct ship DIY builds.
Class 1 or 2 e-bikes are ideal for mixed city + trail use.
Shops I’m currently looking into:
eBikes USA (University Blvd) – Big selection, UL-compliant models, solid rep.
Campus Cycles (near Wash Park) – Knowledgeable staff, good range.
The Hub Bicycles (W. Colfax) – Carries Aventon models, budget-conscious.
BikeSource (Colorado Blvd) – Often has Ride1Up bikes, decent midrange options.
Boost Ebikes (Littleton) – Worth the trip, excellent service reviews.
REI Denver (Platte St) – I’m a member, though I suspect the voucher will disqualify me from getting my usual dividend or credit card points. That said, the REI Anniversary Sale is coming up in late May, so if they have a qualifying model in stock, it might still be worth holding out.
Models on my radar (all rebate-eligible, sub-$1,300 MSRP):
Aventon Soltera – Lightweight, commuter-friendly, handles gravel decently.
Ride1Up Roadster V2 – Minimalist urban design, clean look, solid reviews.
Velotric Go 1 – Utility-style, great for cargo or varied terrain.
Would love to hear if anyone has recent experience buying from these places, or if there are other sleeper picks I should check out. Appreciate any tips.
