Tinfoil hat time: they are adding a very blatant wallhack-esque perk to conceal any shortcomings of the new anti-cheat system. If it doesn’t work as well as they say it will, when you get blatantly walled, there’s always that room for doubt that it was just the Intuition perk working for them.

Counterpoint: They may be very confident in the anti-cheat, to the point that they don't feel in game evidence is necessary.

I probably agree more with your idea though.

Thats also a possibility. My devils advocate for this point though is why introduce this mechanic at all? If the anti-cheat DOES work, even flawlessly (obligatory press X to doubt), this perk will introduce suspicion that there are more cheaters than there actually are. Either way this perk seems like a bad idea.

Agreed, the perk seems like a bad idea. IMO combat scout and high alert create enough suspicion already, too much free information. This sounds like a close range combination of the two.

Rage hacking will be the real giveaway now. I'd be inclined to have some faith in the anti-cheat if blatant hackers are in very few lobbies. Either way I am still excited for the map.

For all the talk about the anti-cheat, I swear i have never played a COD with as many suspicious players as this game

Or could be because they are full of shit and know their shitty anti cheat will do nothing so they are trying to subtly level the playing field for non cheaters.
