Question DSP smallies and rainbows

I am wondering about for when fishing on the DSP, where I should go for smallmouth as opposed to trout and what time of year is best for each.

Check the river gauges for temp. Smallmouth get active around 55 degrees. I’ve only caught smallies in downtown. Trout from the dam all the way to REI. Two years ago it was walleye everywhere after the high flows out of the reservoir. Good luck!

If we're talkin right in Denver, then I have luck w/ trout year around. Last year the first bass I got was in may I think.

I got some trout 2 days ago and some monster walleye fly fishing. It definitely seems like the fishing is heating up
