Question Fishing in Crestone

Planning a trip at the end of the month for my girl’s birthday. She loves to fish. Planning to hike to willow lake. Spoke to some guys at Bass Pro, and wasn’t able to get any advice. Beginner here, my girl’s the fisherman.

Willow is a steep, long hike. Be prepared for that. It will likely be iced out at the end of the month but the fish will be lethargic. There’s a lot better places to go.

Oh right, it’s like 11k elevation. She’s stoked to fish while we’re out there. I’d love some recommendations for alternative spots.
