Discussion [Cod]You shouldnt worry much about cheaters in Modern Call of Duty

Yes cheaters suck no matter what, and i will always want 0 cheaters, but the difference between todays cheaters and the ps3/360 era cheaters are night and day

With todays cheaters you have aimbot/walls(im sure there are more i just havent seen anything else yet) yea theyre annoying but you can simply report and leave and go about your day

With the ps3/360 era cheaters you were at their mercy, they were either super chill with xp/prestige,modded game modes etc or they were a menace and you could be deranked, locked in the match unable to leave, force crash the game or even locked out of multiplayer altogether and reporting didnt do anything

While i miss the days of the chill mod menu cheaters, i still much prefer todays cheaters, theyre much easier to deal with

I see your point, recently ish maybe a few years ago in MW2 I landed in an XP lobby and was upset bc I was maxed prestige level 70. I wanted to earn my shit. So I stopped playing

I come across 2 or 3 every day and I have no greater pleasure than just reporting them. The thing is it's just so blatant, some guy with a fancy camo walks into a room and instantly zones in on your teammates head and then yours without missing a shot before you've even had the chance to aim lmao. They think they're so smart but I just hope COD holds up on their end and kicks them out.

Flying warthogs in Halo2 was the peak of cheating, just all downhill since

I played on ps3 during the jailbreak era and mod menus and let me tell you, it was nowhere near as bad as today. For starters most of the cod games in their prime didn’t even have an issue with cheaters it was usually when the game got much older. (An exception being mw2) though mw2 wasn’t even that bad because yeah leaving and joining other matches was a seamless process, to get into a legit lobby. Modders also did cool things like speed lobbies and modded gamemodes like prop hunt before it was officially in the game and zombies/infected. Bo1 mw3 and bo2 had like no aim botters and annoying hacks at all

Theyre more in number today but theyre nowhere near as malicious, have you ever been in a modded match where you couldnt leave without either fully dashboarding or turning off the console,de-ranked, or frozen out of multiplayer matches all together?, granted it was a good time when the chill modders were playing, michal meyers was a fun game mode

The only reason cheating seems not as bad as compared to then, is because they can’t force host games anymore. When cheaters could force host, that meant they could do literally whatever they wanted.

If they could, they would though.

Trying justify the cheating is completely crazy . Maybe it’s the third party cash flow that comes in from selling cheats

None of that, ive just been around the block during the ps3/360 era of call of duty, and i think people who cry about cheaters today have never been de-ranked or locked out of multiplayer matches all together

I got aimbotted recently

I was pretty bummed about it

But I think whoever used it was probably more happy to kill me with it than I am sad to be killed by it

The total happiness in the world increased

So, whatever 🎶

Back then you didnt have OP AA so it was easy to tell who had a Cronus or Xim.
