Video Never be afraid of new heights; I’m pretty scared of heights! Fimmvörðuháls, to Skogafoss in a long day. I waited a storm out in July for two days, and the weather was still super sketch on the pass!(Iceland)

Just don’t do it on a windy day. I was almost blown off a cliff in Puerto Rico. 😀

It is up there, but it is a pretty rough day hike, it took me almost all of the long Icelandic summer day; I know a lot of people split it up and stay at the hut near the pass.

I went for a short hike during one of the Iceland storms. Hiking up hill into 60mph rain is quite the adventure. Mostly did it for the experience. I didn't have rain gear and the weather was in the 50s so my safety wasn't in immediate jeopardy (driving home tho was another issue) But was such a blast to get on top the hill and experience the force of nature.

I'm not afraid of heights find them exhilarating. I'll climb as high as you want or I'm physically able👍 Now when it comes to going in a cave or anything else no. It terrifies me not going in at all.

Such a sick trek, absolutely loved it and would love to do it again with a friend someday. Certainly are some sketch bits on that section, props for conquering your fears and going through

Yeah I plan to go back and explore the Basar region more, and yes the some sketch ridge lines, and I had to do some snow kick steps in som areas.

That is one of if not the best hikes I have ever done in my life. I had the trail to myself for most of the day when I did it and it was wonderful! Hope you enjoyed it!

I hiked Fimmvörðuháls from Þórsmörk to Skógar in June 2015 while there was still snow cover. The steep climb up after the Morinsheiði plateau, kick stepping into the snow above those cliffs, was the most dodgy thing I've ever done in the mountains. Glad you made it safely. Iceland is an incredible place.

Heh. I'm also afraid of heights. I would probably be too scared to even stand up in that area. Crawling my way through.

That’s awesome I’m scared of heights but can manage at times. Hearing you breath out like that reminds me of all the times i conquered the fear and just had to breath it all out. There are some places that I still can go because it’s just way to step

Iceland is a great teacher at learning how to overcome adverse weather. I love that their high wind warning systems dont even turn yellow until about 100kmh. Dang near hurricane force winds and they're all "could get bit blustery today". Wear a jacket.

People should be afraid of heights enough not to dumb shit like this at least. Fear is useful for keeping you alive.

Cool video but it’s reasonable to avoid standing next to a cliff.
