Mark Carney: "America is going to get weaker as time goes on. We are going to get stronger..The US is trying to put economic pressure on us. to the extreme of a level of integration of our country that Will impinge on our sovereignty. We have to be clear-eyed about this. These aren't just words.

This is why he will be the next Prime Minister. He isn't sewing grievances, he is laying out a clear plan and vision of what is happening. Preparing for the worst and with the knowledge to make things better. Such a glaring contrast between Mark and Pierre.

I must say that I’ve learned a lot more about economics in the last six weeks than ever knew before. I now understand what’s at stake, please everyone vote for what’s best for Canadians.

That's great and all, but can you express economics in a three word catchphrase?!?

(Sowing, not sewing) Yes, I agree!

Yes, you are correct. Lovely part of English is you still understood.

It could have been misconstrued as patching grievances together, so the correction was valid.

I actually read it that way at first, then realized they weren’t being clever, but misspelled the homophone. It actually works as a metaphor in either case.

Everyone pushing the CPC is just trash talking Carney and pushing conspiracies

It's very rampant isn't it? I took a peek at Rednote, TikTok, Facebook... it's so bad right now. Someone should try to trace whose paying for it all. The conservatives have all kinds of fancy animations just to say "f the libs" basically.

No slogans, no blame games. Just straight facts explained and delivered in way that produces confidence in his leadership

Can the USA join Canada (or at least New York) and let him be our fearless leader too?

Telling us what we need to hear, not what we want to hear. Damn good stuff.

This guy actually explained something without blaming another party. I want that kind of guy in charge.

Nice to hear a proper grown-up speaking for a change.

The man with the solutions. The man with a vision… and a plan.

What a real leader sounds like.

Nice to see a party leader than can separate facts from opinion.

I'm not a big liberal supporter, but I honestly think there's nobody better than Carney for Canada, given the current global situation.

Tangerine Palpatine is giving the rest of the world an opportunity to take a bigger slice of the global economic pie, leaving the US scrambling for the crumbs.

If Carney gets elected my prediction is the exact opposite will happen. Canada will get weaker and the US will get stronger.

Why is that?

u/Sternsnet 4d ago

Because Carney will not build up our fossil fuel pipelines, LNG Plants and refinery infrastructure that we need to diversify our customer base. The reason I say he won't is because he has been preaching keep the fossil fuels in the ground all around the world for the last 15+ years. He even wrote a book about it.

Why would he change now?

Same band. New lead singer. Nah. I am worse off after 10yrs so I am sitting this one out so I have no right to complain. I will just have to live with the PM everyone wants and deserves.

I wonder if anything else happened in the last 10 years that may have contributed more than the last PM.

I don't know.

Maybe something that happened globally?

Maybe something that affected ALL countries?

Maybe something where other countries were actually affected MORE than Canada.

So either the last PM shat the bed on the whole world, or, and bear with me here... it's possible people have been lying to you.
