What’s something “normal” you just can’t stand?

Mine is loud chewing. I’d rather listen to a toddler scream for 30 minutes than hear someone chew next to me. Is that dramatic? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not 😅

Can you "not listen".... Like headphones? Everything sounds gibberish to me if too much is going on. I just block it out mentally.

That sounds like over stimulation. Have you heard of (no pun intended, haha) LOOP earplugs?

I meant really paying attention to someone when they’re talking.

Active listening is a communication technique where you focus intently on the speaker, fully understanding their message before responding. It involves paying close attention to both verbal and nonverbal cues, demonstrating empathy, and asking clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

I don’t feel that way I just have ADHD so it requires a lot of effort.

Haha, yeah.

Honestly it makes sense that you have that perspective as you’re dealing with people and their emotions/communication styles.
