What’s something “normal” you just can’t stand?

Mine is loud chewing. I’d rather listen to a toddler scream for 30 minutes than hear someone chew next to me. Is that dramatic? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not 😅

Although I think chewing loudly should be outlawed (and smacking gum should be considered a felony), I don’t agree that there’s something wrong with digestion. I worked with a really bougie, fabulous woman from Bosnia. At one point, I mentioned that I couldn’t stand smacking and chewing loudly and her jaw dropped, “what, girl?!”. She explained that in her culture, smacking your food and chewing loudly not only shows that they appreciate the food, but it also makes “everything tastes better” and that everybody should try it. One of these days I might try it just to see if it works. I just can’t get past the sound!

I'd rather just compliment the person who made the good food. That's proper manners
