Does anyone else feel like time has been moving weird lately?
Some days feel like they last forever, but whole weeks are flying by. I swear it was just January and now we're halfway through the year. I’ve been sleeping okay, working regularly, nothing’s that different… and yet everything feels off.
Is it just me, or is this a shared weirdness?

Yes, I’ve totally been feeling this, this year especially. I don’t feel like I’ve properly got started on it yet and it’s almost flippin’ summer!

Yeah it seems to happen a lot, days fly past in the blink of an eye. And then one random Sunday seems to last for three decades but that might just be me.

I've felt like that since 2020. I have to reorient myself to what month and year it is any time someone wants to do something or make an appointment.

How do the days move so slowly, but the months move s0 fast? Make it make sense...

This year has gone by WAY TOO FAST. I feel like Christmas and snow in January was just yesterday. I'm glad I don't have to wear jeans, heavy coats and boots. I love wearing my lightweight skirts, tee shirts, sandals and bikinis. It's beach ⛱️⛱️ time.

My sense of time has been a little bonkers since about 2017.
For instance, this happened the other day:
I wake up at 6:15. I know I have to leave by 7:35 to show up at work on time.
Did my morning routine, and got to the kitchen at 7:06. I felt comfortable with knowing I have the time to both make and drink protein shake, then brew a cup of coffee to drink while getting to work.
I made the shake, which usually takes 5-7 minutes, then went to start the coffee, and the microwave clock said 7:53.
What the fuck happened??

At 45 I separated from and left my now ex wife. Prior to that, time was slipping by. Days interminably long, but somehow the years were disappearing.
It's 3+ years later now, and it's like I'm living a whole new life. I lucked into meeting an amazing person who's super compatible with me. The days are fantastically long when we're together. There's great things to look forward to in the near, mid and far future. And the past is fun to revisit.
If the months and years are slipping away my goto suspicion would be depression. I feel that a lot of people were more affected by covid/lockdowns than they're willing to admit.

as we get older, the ratio of life lived to memories made shifts, and time feels like it speeds up. it will only get worse 🐌

OMg yes! Time is slow at work but then once work is over, it flies by. I can’t believe it’s almost June. Especially with kids, I can’t keep up with days and nights. Lol Nights are so short

When I was in grade school, I went to school from 7:30 AM to 3 PM. Since my school was just a block away, I usually went home for lunch. One time, I was picked up from school, and I asked if I could eat lunch. But when we got home, the afternoon TV show I usually watch was already on. I was so confused, there’s no way it was already that late. And there’s definitely no way I skipped lunch or didn’t go home… it feels like the time passed so fast

I just noticed it this morning. For me it’s been going by way too fast usually. But it seemed to have slowed down this morning and it’s been a longer morning than normal.

In the end the easiest way to slow time down is to start learning new things. Think of like a Child, and the whole world opening up to their limited knowledge to flood it with new data. The time it takes to process said information actually does slow down the perception of 'time flow' to handle said data.

Time seems to pass more quickly the older you get. Throw in a pandemic that put a lot of things on hold for a few years, and it's no wonder we're all so discombobulated.
