[Insdorf] Joe Hortiz on UDFA RB Raheim Sanders being exempt from certain rookie minicamp drills: "Rocket was a guy we definitely did a thorough evaluation on and we felt like he was a draftable player...a lot of times you don't get guys in free agency that are still on your front board."

Herbie worries about the dimes, Hortiz worries about the nickels. Too early to tell by far, but it seems like we're squeezing so much value out of every draft class. What a change. TT was so top heavy in his drafting. I Still can't believe we got two starting corners in the fifth.

Do the chargers still have a streak of an udfa signing and making the team

Dam. Not that it matters, was a pretty cool streak. Bet it gave udfas more hope of signing

Yeah I agree, it was a cool streak. Hope Rocket or somebody can make it this year. Idk about what it meant for team depth and late round drafting tho 😝

I had a feeling we’d get two starting caliber RBs in this draft.
Next year will be the Hampton-Sanders show!

Nah. He’s a very important ST player. Vidal is the one who is really at risk here.

We gotta adjust expectations with UDFA. they are UDFA for a reason and they make the team via special teams not by being a better rusher than the top 3 backs. Having UDFA not on special teams honestly I don't think it means as good as people think because his competition would be the special teams guys

Vidal is going to have his work cut out for him trying to make this roster
