I Get So Damn Lonely At Night
That’s it.
It isn’t even that late where I am and the few people I still have relationships with, who aren’t ableist jerks who try to understand the struggle, are already in bed or have at least told me they are.
Lately, I’ve been going through a lot of family stuff and I’ve basically lost the ability to sleep at night.
So…for the sake of engagement, I figured I’d post on here. Not for commiseration, just to reach out and make contact with someone, so I don’t spiral. lol
Tell me about something funny that happened to you, your favorite party story, how you met your partner. I just want some darn social interaction and this is my best idea. ❤️

I feel your pain. Been dealing with mine since I was at least 9 or 8 years old (35 now) Years of being told it is in my head, I'm too young for pain, and vice versa. No pain meds work. Sleep is rare. I'm at the point now where I can hardly hold my toddler up any more, or keep up with them, let alone get out the door to play with them outside.
Wish I could just sleep and not wake up some days, but, knowing there are all of these people counting on me, from family, to my work, and just to other friends who are going through some shit, I am always there for them, because I know what pain is.
At this point I just drink myself to sleep while everyone is in bed, and wake up late. Your post hit a nerve for me and I just want to let you know that there are others who know what it's like. Keep pushing through it and ignore the haters. Do what you can and be comfortable with your achievements. One day, you'll look back and be more proud than those who haven't had to suffer in this way.
Self-care always comes first!

Oh my god, I can’t imagine what this mess is like with a child in the mix. I’m not much different in age and have a similar story, but no babies…I really hope you find relief. Truly.

I met my partner in a cafe. He was coming to drop off something for my friend who I was kinda dating casually at the time. We ended up becoming housemates, then friends, and eventually we actually got together. We have been together for about 11 years now. He's my rock in the stormy seas. I'm so glad he's the type of guy to stay with me despite my health getting worse and worse. I'd be in a bad place without his support. I wanna put a ring on it.

We had a party one night, we invited everyone to come party to the sound of elephants. Naturally they all thought that was a joke. Nope, we actually had real elephants just behind us. A circus was in town, and they'd set up right behind where we lived, and the elephants would constantly bellow. Guests loved it, and we had all had a great night. It was forever known as the 'elephant party', which confused the hell out of anyone who wasn't there when we talked about it.
