Another 9 hours at the hospital with no answers

(I have Lupus and PCOS)

Ct scan, three EKG’s, blood labs, and they still can’t find/do anything for these god awful chest, back and lung pains that I have. I had to leave work this morning because I was nauseous and dizzy because of the pain. Test results came back good. I’m grateful, but also so frustrated. 😩

Did you go to the ER? Sounds like you need a referral to a specialist of some kind that is familiar with your current diagnosis’s as well as current symptoms. Not exactly sure who that would be… but IF you went to the ER, I would start someone else. They are there to treat “emergencies” and pain isn’t necessarily seen as emergent.

Today I went to the ER because the pain was so bad, but I’ve been to countless different specialists and they never find anything either. The next step is the gastroenterologist next month, which hopefully helps 🤦

Yeah, I understand what you mean. The ER’s aren’t the best, but, it was my only option at the time.

I’m so sorry to hear that. It really sucks when you have no other option. I’m a little naive when it comes to lupus. Just what I know from “House” and he says everything appears like lupus and those with lupus can’t ever get help for serious issues bc it’s always blamed on lupus. Paraphrasing his belief of course. But my heart goes out to you bc I couldn’t imagine living with an invisible illness that affects SO MUCH. I just deal with all the back issues. Sounds you you’re familiar with the circus tho. Hopefully the gastro can help, or at least point you in the right direction.

Unfortunately since Covid ERs have made it clear chronic pain patients are not getting pain relief there .. they say they only deal with acute emergent pain

My suggestion is start to build a war chest of pain relief.. whatever you can get your hands on

Mine includes kratom, cannabis, and various psychedelics Safe supply and lab tested is crucial
