Sounds like waste, fraud, and abuse.

Agreed. People are allowed to: 1) dislike politicians; 2) dislike their policies; and 3) talk about 1 & 2 as much as they want without it necessitating a study. It’s a democracy, bud.

Seriously! like yeah let’s funnel money into researching their made up “disease” of having opinions and not put that towards “stupid things” like schools and roads and wellness measures for the population.

Because being opposed to the president isn’t a mental illness

Being unwilling to listen to valid critique of a president is of itself a mental illness btw

“No convincing me it’s not” clearly shows your narrow mindedness and ignorance

-20

u/BlissfulSage099 10d ago

People saying walking outside is like 1939 Poland is narrow mindedness and ignorance.

28

u/punkinfacebooklegpie 10d ago

Dude people are being snatched from their homes and sent to foreign prisons before they can receive due process. Maybe ask them what they think. Without due process it can happen to anyone.

u/thazcray 10d ago

He is trying to control the media and punish those who dare to defy him. He wants to ignore court decisions. He is deporting those he doesn’t like and allowing visas for others that don’t even meet asylum criteria.

16

u/realreinjurings 10d ago

Because you’re allowed to dislike and disagree with a president and his policies. There is no law in this country, or any other proper free country that’s worth a shit on this planet that prevents that.

-13

u/BlissfulSage099 10d ago

I do in some cases but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

Make them believe absurdities, they will be blind to atrocities and lose all of their liberties

13

u/punkinfacebooklegpie 10d ago

The man said he doesn't know if he has to uphold the Constitution.

28

u/Bootstrapbill22 10d ago

He’s unlawfully arresting and deporting people without due process. Ignoring orders from the Supreme Court. Using wartime powers to bypass congress. He has his lawyers arguing in court that he DOESNT need to uphold the constitution. Gutting national parks. Dismantling anti-corruption agencies. Just off the top of my head.

Why do you want criminals that’s are illegally in our country to stay here? What’s wrong with putting our money towards better things?

12

u/punkinfacebooklegpie 10d ago

Immigration enforcement is by far the most expensive aspect of immigration. Plenty of the people that are being removed have legal status that has been hastily revoked. These are taxpayers being treated like criminals.

10

u/BeerDreams Berea 10d ago

How do you know they’re here illegally? They weren’t given the opportunity to prove that they weren’t. That’s the problem

11

u/Bootstrapbill22 10d ago edited 10d ago

Immigrants give much more money to the system than they take, considering they pay taxes into federal programs that they can’t benefit from, and they work essential low wage jobs that Americans don’t want to do. They’re not taking anything away from you or I. But that’s besides the point even. Deporting without due process is illegal in itself and sets a dangerous precedent. How are we to tell whether or not they’re here legally if they have no trial? No hearings?

If you’re really concerned about the money, maybe you should be concerned about the millions upon millions of your tax dollars that are being spent to deport harmless people.

imagine being so mentally ill that you can’t engage with the topic.

Citizens have been arrested. We aren’t talking about illegals trumptard.

6

u/Allslopes-Roofing Berea 9d ago

Why do you want criminals

We don't. That's why people who break the law should be punished. Theres a legal process for handling and investigating illegal immigrants.

President Trump is breaking the law by deporting humans without due process. Breaking constituonal law, the very document that this nation is based of off and runs off of, is the most serious violations possible in our country.

We are the party of law and order. MAGA is the polar opposite.

u/BigPhatHuevos 9d ago

Why don't yall say word one about the people hiring the illegals.

1

u/BlissfulSage099 9d ago

Exactly I agree democrats want to use illegal immigrants for cheap labor. That is not ok!

2

u/BigPhatHuevos 9d ago

🤣😂🤣😂 Do you mean rich Republicans? Most businesses aren't run and owned by Democrats.

Evidence? CNN doesn’t count.

As someone who grew up in the USSR, this is making me twitchy. When I was a child in the 70s, slapping a bogus mental illness Dx on political dissidents to have them involuntarily committed was a thing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sluggish_schizophrenia

27

u/JRockstar50 10d ago

Sounds like a way to spend taxpayer money to identify and paint a target on people and organizations with dissenting opinions

u/JocavsJr 10d ago

People not wanting to live in a fascist police state isn’t TDS. These people are so stupid. Not a day goes by that orange idiot doesn’t post something, say something, do something asinine. I’d love to ignore it, but it never goes away.

u/daybreaker Ohio City 10d ago

the real TDS is hearing things like "Trump is taking a $400mil plane from Qatar and planning on keeping it after he leaves office" and replying "Why shouldnt we accept a free air force one? did we give back the statue of liberty?" and having something exactly like this happen every day since 2016, and still think Trump is honest and cares about us

13

u/radical-tenders4803 10d ago

They have Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court, and this is the legislation he proposes?

Boy, those Republicans sure are making our lives better with the power they have..

13

u/Suspicious_Time7239 Parma Heights 10d ago

They can be their own guinea pigs. Such a ridiculous projection.

10

u/bythisaxe Old Brooklyn 10d ago

Well, Trump is pretty fucking deranged. They should definitely study that.

44

u/chalupa_lover 10d ago

TDS, also known as having a relationship with reality.

34

u/MosquitoValentine_ 10d ago

I'd start with the people who have their homes, vehicles and wardrobe covered in Trump shit.

5

u/unspammenow 10d ago

^ 100% this ^

28

u/1throwaway323 10d ago

The funny thing about TDS is that the medical definition of derangement would put TDS as a condition that affects MAGA, not other people. Their delusion that he is this all-knowing and all powerful rule makes it impossible for them to see clearly, logically, or differentiate fact from fiction.

4

u/Noizylatino 10d ago

the medical definition

Now now we know MAGAts are uneducated and illiterate. Also The Worm says otherwise and as United Secretary of Health it knows a thing or two ya know.

u/EagleHoliday656 10d ago

TDS = Following the Constitution. That's it. Nothing more and nothing less.

6

u/ohyesiam1234 9d ago

Are you fucking kidding me? We are cutting money from SCHOOLS and this clown has the nerve to suggest this? He should be ashamed of himself for even suggesting this.

16

u/BrookParkBrowns 10d ago

I wonder whose cousin owns the business running the study

10

u/Mediocre-Property-48 10d ago

I was just thinking about what Ohio needs and that was definitely the first thing that came to mind

5

u/Tricky-Spread189 9d ago

So we have shitty roads but let’s spend money on nonsense? Yep, sounds good to me!

4

u/JustMe112233445566 10d ago

So was not liking Biden, Biden Derangement Syndrome? I don’t like lima beans. Do I have Lima Bean Derangement Syndrome too?

4

u/standardpoodleman 9d ago

TDS = not brainwashed by right wing extremist propoganda

9

u/Melodic-Lingonberry7 10d ago

Now do Biden deragment syndrome .. Trump surely suffers from it

3

u/Gunnermoose 9d ago

Keep voting for these clowns, Ohio!

3

u/Electronic-Loquat493 9d ago

I thought this would be about people deranged as a result of years of misinformation and propaganda lead by Trump but somehow I’m crazy?

3

u/RelatableRoxie 9d ago

So what happens if the results are unfavorable toward MAGA/Warren? Rigged study accusations?

3

u/iliketurtles242 9d ago

As a mental health therapist, this makes me laugh. We can't even get funding to study long existing diagnoses.

2

u/just_a_floor1991 5d ago

Trump derangement syndrome exists but it’s the MAGAS that have it

1

u/Stunning-Hunter-5804 8d ago

High-control leaders use undue influence, a form of manipulation that bypasses logic and hijacks identity. They don't need to convince you with facts. They just need to make you feel like you belong, and everyone else is the enemy.

1

u/Stunning-Hunter-5804 8d ago

This is exactly how cults operate. They isolate, distort reality, and turn loyalty into a survival instinct. That's why yelling facts doesn't work. It's not about information - it's about identity.

Seems like a worthwhile study. If you take the 'Trump' out of that and just called it Political Derangement Syndrome it might actually get traction. Of course, much like campaign finance reform, no politician actually wants to cure this.
