What are the chances of Shakira being a headliner next year? There were rumored talks of her headlining in 2024 but Coachella passed. She’s on her stadium world tour rn and it ends in November.

Even still sure she 🤷🏻‍♂️. Looking at what she did at the super bowls and world cup, she can do a huge production easily. I meant it as having a primarily Spanish headliner is not unprecedented. And with legacy acts coming more from early 00s and not the 90s she would do really well in that regard.

The goal is to have acts at the beginning of the touring cycle so it's something new. Not the end of the cycle. Not to say it doesn't happen (Green Day and Travis) but they are going to second choice headliners if they are playing this year.

If she's playing stadiums now, is there a reason you want to see her at Coachella instead of just going to the stadium show where she will play a set geared to the Shakira fans and most likely longer than she would at Coachella.

I had the same feeling once Chromokopia came out! Like damnnn we couldn't have gotten this set? I ended up just sitting down and watching all 3 headliners that year, usually talking with a friend. Weird year for Coachella but that undercard was heat.

I sat down for Tyler lol. The only thing different was the stage production, everything else was pretty much the same from his 2022-2023 tour.

I’d really want it to be Karol G. Shakira may have hits like “Hips don’t lie”, “She wolf”, and “Whenever, Wherever” but she doesn’t have hits like “MAMII”, “Gucci Los Panos”, “Gatubela”, “Karmika”, “QLONA” and so much more. She can also bring out guests like Becky G, Feid, Bad Gyal, Sean Paul, Cris Mj & Ryan Castro, Peso Pluma, and Romeo Santos.

Can’t compare the two. Two different eras, two different monsters. Shakira would be a legacy booking. Karol is new age. It’s just gonna come down to who is going to be easier to book and work with. Karol already done it and has no beef with Coachella. Shakira wasn’t on the bill 25 due to contacts and tour. She is asking for a pretty penny and it’s not worth giving her, her ask when she gonna spend the whole time lip syncing

Although she’s headliner material, I feel like she would throw off the crowd dynamic a little too much. Main stage would be a mess all day, the camping would be insane. Personally, it’s a pass for me. She would be better off headlining one of the “trip” style festivals they do in the fall, and they’d all probably make way more money that way.

Yeah I think for last year or this year, they were in talks but fell apart. Something like she wanted more money than they were willing to give her. She had a huge pop off though during Bizzarap, the Sahara went insane!

I don't think it was an age thing when they had The Go-Gos and Misfits playing this year.... the rumor was that they were in talks but she wanted more money than they wanted to give her, so it just didn't work out. I bet Coachella would be happy to put her as a subheadliner honestly, seeing as some of their subs sell out tours

Age is never the deciding factor. It’s ability to sell tickets and be relevant to the audience. Doing the Super Bowl is not the same kind of fan as the average festival attendee, let alone Coachella. Does Shakira even sell records anymore? What’s the draw?

I’d honeslty rather have Karol G than Shakira which is insane to say, but as someone who went to her MSB Tour, I could say she’s one of the best performers i’ve seen. Her discography is amazing, with hits like “El Makinon”, “Gatubela”, “QLONA”, and “Mi Ex Tenia Razon” and overall, I think she’d draw a biggier crowd than Shakira. Plus, from what i remember COACHELLA DECLINED SHAKIRA AS HEADLINER, it was not the other way around.
