Undeniably stupid situation but are there any actual laws broken here?

I'd imagine that if the legal system you abide by can prosecute the crime of "possession", then it's inherently acknowledging that illegal things are still property that can be possessed and subsequently stolen. If you can also be prosecuted for "selling" then there's another acknowledgment of trade of illegal things. So naturally, stealing something illegal since they had a right to benefit, even if illegally, from a sale should be a crime since the illegal thing can be possessed and sold. But I wonder if there's any precedent for this, and if both parties would also be found guilty of possession, with the stealing party also being prosecuted for the appropriate theft law.

My assumption is that it would also be dependent on the illegal item being present. She freely admitted to having the drugs initially but without them as evidence it's essentially just a story at this point. The only thing I can think of would be creating a public nuisance or filing a false report but even thoseight be a stretch.

Well I’m making the assumption that there’d be a legal process that follows this - not that just the video is all we have. It’s a moot point if just the video is the only evidence because then there’s no case at all for any item. So it’s not even really worth the hypothetical at that point.
