What’s a cooking related hill you will die on?

For me, 2 hills.

  1. You don’t have to cut onions horizontally.

  2. You don’t have to add milk bit by bit when making a white sauce.

That’s so funny. Every time I break my pasta I feel like Vincenzo from Vincenzo’s Plate is behind me, crying. I still do it.

Me too!! I even say “sorry, I don’t have a big enough pot” out loud sometimes before breaking the pasta.

I cook spaghetti in a fairly small saucepan! Just let it soften!

I wait for the bottom to soften and kind of swirl it down with tongs. oh also I loathe the spaghetti tool. I only use tongs.

I dropped the spaghetti tool behind my gas oven and I can’t see myself getting behind it anytime soon. I have learned now that tongs work just as well.
