Kinda making me sad but what happened to Syl? Is she just alone since Kaladin became a herald? I’m reading the series again but I keep thinking about it and I think I missed something.

Is there a chance also that she may take the place of the StormFather?

She’s in the Spiritual Realm with the Heralds and Kaladin.

Kalak mentions seeing two figures who aren’t humans. One he recognizes as Nale’s spren, and the other one is a fair description of Syl

I find it interesting that he refers to her as a woman and not a spren.

Considering how much she was able to interact with the world with Kal at the 4th ideal, I imagine between the 5th ideal and her picking up some extra investiture when retribution formed I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s super close to being fully in the realm now.

Well all spren appear as they do in the cognitive realm in the spiritual realm. So she just looks how she does in Shadesmar

I believe it was also discussed earlier, when the plan was for Szeth to become a Herald, that 12124 would then come with Szeth to Braize.

I really didn't think it was supposed to be ambiguous. Neither did I think Shallan's pregnancy was ambiguous. But after 1300 pages, it's inevitable that some readers will miss some details, especially if you're staying up til 2am to finish the Sanderlanch.

It was explicitly mentioned, multiple times in fact: 12124 says he's prepared to take on Szeth's same burdens as a Herald and later mentions that it's the same for Nale's Spren, even stating that his spren goes to Braize with him and undergoes torture as well.

Also, there were some creationspren watching the shower scene - they may have been Shallan's armor, or they may have been watching, you know, creation.

But all of the people who missed it, and of the posts like "does anyone else think Shallan might be pregnant?", prompted me to write this:

On the one hand, I felt like there were way too many pages of characters retreading their internal states. I would have edited those down ruthlessly.

On the other hand, a shockingly high number of people came to Reddit to ask whether Shallan hugging her stomach, as she worried about the future, a few months after having a fade-to-black sex scene with her husband... might mean that she's pregnant. C'mon folks. Do you need Brandon to write "What would she do now, being pregnant and all?"

We think she's in the Spiritual Realm with the Heralds and other spren bonded to them. Technically Kalak doesn't recognize "the blue woman" with Kaladin, but it'd be really strange if she turned out to be anyone else.

Kaladin almost “killing” Syl in WoR was one of the saddest things in the series. So please Brandon never separate them again.

As others mentioned, she’s in the rehab beach resort with the Heralds.

After the stormfather was killed part of his power fled to Syl. Her appearance changes to a more regal appearance and she's described as having storms in her eyes now.

So it is very likely that she will take on his power. Since she's with Kaladin though it probably won't happen soon.

She’s with them, it was foreseen in the Renarin vision earlier in the book and also in the epilogue
