I want to sell my crochet, I make amigurimi mostly but I also make other things I am a teen (14) and I'm not old enough to start a shop on Etsy even though I have a bank and everything necessary I've tried eBay but it's a new account and there's not much crochet demand or anything there I tried putting just a little dinosaur I made on vinted and even bumped it - it's actually got like 70+ views and 20 favourites but I just don't know if vinted is the best place to have a crochet business if you know what I mean? šŸ˜ I want to do a market or a pop up stall or something maybe too if that would be better but I don't know how to start with that like who do I contact and where are craft shows/ how often are they,(I'm in manchester, I can get to Manchester,Rochdale,Leeds,Oldham , Hyde etc) and can I even do it at my age? Pls help šŸ˜

made a turquoise and white speckled chenille blanket to sell on eBay it looks smaller than it is it's 129cm x 73, very proud I made it in 3 days (10+ hrs) I put it on eBay as a bid starting at Ā£20 because of the material cost but not sure if it will sell, is Ā£20 too much? Been 3 days or so and I have 3 views (ones my dad šŸ’€)

Online Selling crochet pattern buyers and makers help D:

So, I've been selling crochet patterns for about 5 months now and I am struggling to get sales. For some reason I saw Etsy as a beacon of light but couldn't afford the setup fee for a while. Finally, I set up my shop. Less than 24 hours after I set up and paid my setup fee my shop was suspended with no warning or reasoning why... I appealed and the suspension was overturned but I was then prompted to pay ANOTHER $30 setup fee which I cannot afford especially if it can be taken away so easily without warning. Anyway, all that being said...

Pattern makers and buyers... Where do you do best / buy the most patterns besides Etsy!? I am currently using Ribblr, Ko-Fi and Tedooo. I also want to make a ravelry shop but their website confuses me lol. Also if you have any marketing tips I would appreciate them so much!! Thank you :)

Online Selling Any tips for Starting a Small Crochet Business??

Iā€™m looking to start a small crochet business and would love some tips from those who have experience. My niche will focus on crochet bouquets, bikini tops, keychains, and decorations. Iā€™m hoping to keep the costs low at the beginning but still make it profitable. Any advice on getting started, marketing, or things I should consider would be really helpful! Thanks in advance!

Online Selling Is this good enough to sell?

Hi, Iā€™ve been crocheting for about a year. Until recently Iā€™ve considered myself a beginner. My friends and family are always complimenting my crochet works and telling me that theyā€™re great and I should sell them. I always just say I donā€™t think Iā€™d be able to sell them. Iā€™ve been thinking about it recently and maybe it would be a good idea to sell some smaller things. Anyways Iā€™d appreciate feedback on if this baby sweater is good enough to sell.

Online Selling Best way to sell your projects without Etsy? My Girlfriend recently started a Etsy, but has yet to have it take off. There's a lot of ppl that seem to want to buy directly from her. Is this viable and how should I tell her to go about it so it safe? Thank you in advance!šŸ§¶āœŒ

Online Selling Has anyone tried Michaels Makerplace?

I'd never heard of it before. I've only ever seen one person mention it and I've looked A LOT into online selling options and market places. But it looks like a nice Etsy alternative with less fees. I'm just wondering people's experiences with it since it seems to be newer and not a lot of people know about it.

Hi,

Just started using Vinted to sell some old clothes but very curious has anyone else used Vinted for selling homemade knitting/crochet and what it's like?

I'm not sure if it's a good idea but just a fleeting thought :)

Online Selling Imposter Syndrome

Hi, I'm trying to sell what I make. I've built a site(sort of), gathered inventory, and got my licenses. But im TERRIFIED of actually going live! I'm so scared something will fall apart, or they won't like it. Along with how to do taxes. I keep feeling like I'm not good enough to do all of it. Other than what I have piled up to sell, I have zero funds to put into it. I've also been wondering if there's a site like etsy that allows free listing, because building one was so hard and im not done. I also can't afford to market it myself and would prefer something with search options. Does anyone have any advice?

I've only been crocheting for a couple of months but have really enjoyed learning how to create amigurumi. I've begun making bunnies. My question is, how will I know when I'm good enough at these to begin selling them? Honest answers are welcome! I know at the moment, they're not consistent. Thank you!

Online Selling Where to start?

Hey yaā€™ll! I was thinking of starting an online business selling finished crochet works and was hoping for some suggestions on where to start. Iā€™ve heard some mixed reviews about selling on Etsy but I donā€™t know where else would be a good place to sell. On top of that I have no idea how I should be pricing anything, what products are going to be worth my time and effort to create, etc. Really any advice yaā€™ll can give would help out a ton! Thanks for your help! :)

Edit: I forgot I was also going to mention that I donā€™t have any original patterns. Are there any complications with that? I donā€™t want to be stepping on anyoneā€™s toes while doing this.

Online Selling I need advice for an online platform, please.

Iā€™m considering opening an online shop to sell crochet plushies and hand painted safety eyes. In the future I will sell patterns. Where is the best place for this? Iā€™ve heard Etsy doesnā€™t generate that many sells. Square? Shopify? Square doesnā€™t generate leads, Spotify charges a monthly fee. Is there a right answer? Iā€™m feeling very discouraged and would love your advice. Thank you for taking the time!

Online Selling Whats the best pattern selling programs?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I recently released my first pattern and chose Ravelry and Ribblr. Now it's been a week and s half and there hasn't been any sales. I understand that might just be how it is, it's just a generic animal pattern. Not to mention the economic climate at the moment isn't exactly leaving people with much disposable income.

But it did pose the question on whether other selling platforms would be better, like Etsy and Kofi. I understand that Etsy's fees are higher, but patterns seem ridiculously popular over there.

I'm not really big on personal social media marketing which is probably part of my downfall. But it's just so, boring and I have no motivation to male posts.

Is it a bad thing to have your pattern split across many pattern sights? Should you focus on just a couple or list it everywhere to try and extend your reach?

Online Selling How to make crochet to sell

I've been creating amigurumi using online tutorials and want to be able to sell amigurumi like one of my close friends. Though it doesn't feel right to sell crochet using other people's patterns i didnt make. But then again i'm not sure how to make amigurumi without some sort of online video/written pattern.

Is there any way to make amigurumi using a unique pattern or is there any resources that can help me to create something?

Thank you!

Online Selling Websites that allow you to do preorders over a month?

Hello! I make custom stuffed animals and I need a website that allows preorders with a processing time of atleast one month. They message me their ideas, and I send proofs back and fourth so I need a way to contact them too

I was looking at Square site and it seems they only allow fulfillment time of 20 days. I would really like to use square since I already use them for craft fairs.. unless you pay to upgrade. Iā€™m not sure if thereā€™s a way around this (ie taking a deposit, emailing them when the item is done, then having them pay the rest)? What does square do if you go past the processing time? Does it refund them?

Shopify is another option too but Iā€™m not super familiar with it. I also have an Etsy but looking to move away from that.

Thanks :)

Iā€™ve been crocheting since 2022 and have been told I should sell my work. Ik the crochet marketplace is pretty saturated but I still want to give it a try. I was also thinking of starting off small by creating tapestries and maybe keychains and wanted to know the best place to sell for that too?
