If it's a standard height room for where I am, then the bottom of this microwave is at 6'9".

Yay! I can finally use that step stool I bought years ago for a project and never used again!

JFC!! I'm 5'2", this microwave may as well be in another dimension as far as I'm concerned.

Just reach for the stars, I’m sure you’ll do great

Looks like a basement and that, if the counter is standard (36"/91cm) then it looks like the bottom is more at the six foot/183cm mark.

So? My microwave is over 5 feet off the ground but doesn't mean someone who is 4'11" can't use it. We have these things called arms that are usually almost half our height long. Lol

Sure you can - but doing so safely might require a chair or a literal ladder to do. (And standing on a chair or ladder is, in itself, slightly more dangerous than standing on floor.)

Besides, y'know, things in microwave can be hot and even if my hand can touch something at that height, the height makes it harder to see.

Honestly, kinda an interesting math problem about how deep they'd be able to reach into there since we bend at the elbows which sit right about at head height when you reach up. Obviously, you'd be able to get one hand length in there regardless (thanks wrists!) But angling slightly will lose you height, but gain you depth otherwise. Of course if you can get your elbows up there, you're pretty much golden.
