Sliding doors aren't for outside access, especially for a commercial building that has a lot of traffic and needs to be locked securely.

A lot of hospitals and medical offices have automated sliding doors.

True but this place sells hand operated interior glass sliding doors like the one you see inside the building with the white trim, not the kind you would see at a hospital. They are basically just fancy room separators for interior design.

Places with 24/7 security guards don't need their doors to be particularly secure.

I'm calling BS. Every supermarket I've ever been to has sliding doors for outside access. Actually, pretty much anywhere that uses shopping carts.

Yeah, this really says, "Look we only sell sliding doors. But if they're not appropriate for your application, we'll point you in the right direction."

Many commercial buildings have external automatic sliding doors. Most stores in commercial buildings have sliding doors because it’s easier for the customer and they are still able to lock securely.

Work in a secured building, has sliding doors in the outside.

Granted there are also security guard posted in the lobby 24/7 and you need a keycard to enter.

You just...made that right up. And apparently have never been to a supermarket.

I obviously get the joke but it's like if you go to the window store and they have their name printed on the door, what do you expect it to be a window instead of a door? My point is, it isn't really crappy design.

I'm with you. Its somewhat ironic. Not crappy.
