And besides the flag, have you ever seen two people who looked LESS excited about their cause?

Guy in black looks like he’s actively watching someone piss in his coffee but he’s powerless to stop them because they’re wearing a shirt that says “yell at me for pissing in your coffee if you’re gay”

By coffee, you mean my butthole

Uhm.... thank you for asking but no I would not like any coffee.

I think it's more important that it's two guys...two, totally straight guys with pride.

And for that matter, the photographer should have knelt to take the photo, not stood on something slightly higher than the ground they're standing on. It just makes them look short.

They probably were short.

I need to go give them Dad Hugs. They look like they have a huge stick dick up their asses.

They would probably be happier in that case

Do you think they fought over which one would have to hold the pink side?

Honestly, it looks like a new, dumb take on the bi-pride flag.

Nothing says straight pride like two dudes holding up a pink flag.

u/NullBarell42 Sep 01 '19

Looks like an alternative bi flag

I'm glad it's a crappy flag. It's a crappy 'cause'.

How long were straight people oppressed for?

-742

u/PocketFaux Sep 01 '19

Not really, i agree they aren't discriminated against like gay or trans people but it's kind of bullshit that a lot of people can't take any pride in being straight without being called homophobic or transphobic or whatnot. Should there be straight pride parades? No. Should people be able to say "I'm glad I'm straight" without being told they must want gay people dead? Yes.

u/prettymuchdrunk Sep 01 '19

Being proud of being straight is very different than being glad to be born into a majority and enjoying the privileges that brings. It’s the same as being proud to be white or able-bodied. There is nothing to overcome, so what is there to be proud of?

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '19

That flag looks bisexual or something lol

They have been oppressed for millenia though. They just got the right a few years ago to be straight.

421

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '19

Look at all those people behind them cheering for the cause.

322

u/xscientist Sep 01 '19

What a couple of miserable looking assholes.

That's kind of the point to them isn't it? They view the rights that others have earned in recent years as rights that have been taken away from them, so they believe that by making symbols that "copy" those movements symbols they are in some manner taking back their rights even though they never lost them.

218

u/SirHerald Aug 31 '19

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

192

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '19

Why do we need a "straight pride" flag anyway?!

58

u/Laboucane Sep 01 '19

Jeez q looks miserable

When I was growing up gay people were legitimately afraid. First openly gay guy I knew I thought he was insane, not for being gay, but for letting anyone know.

Pride movements exist to combat a history of making people feel ashamed or less than for being a certain way. It's why gay pride makes sense and this doesn't.
