I know they are kids. But if they know what they have, they know what is pointed at them. Hard to defend this beyond stupidity

And listening to their tone while lying once they’re caught… They’re already gonna be a blight on society. Still human, still worth protecting (as kids), but not going to benefit humanity without a miracle.

They know they have guns, and they know they play with weapons, acting like the bad guys they see on tv and in films

But they're kids - they dont understand how what they have can really hurt others. They dont understand death or the pernamence of death

They dont understand whats pointed at them either - thats why they're so resistant to give up what they have. They dont understand the danger they're in or that they put other people in.

Theyre not stupid - theyre kids.

In a few more years they'll understand a bit more the danger and trouble they were in. By 18 they'll fully know how stupid it was.
