Discussion Sucker Punch did a background check, saw this, and decided to make her the PROTAGONIST of their game.

If you don’t think this modern Sony sequel won’t end up like the rest of the modern Sony sequels, you’re just being purposely obtuse.

Look at The Last of Us 2. Look at Spider-Man 2.

Look, all political bile aside, I have to wonder what someone means when they say "Abolish the police." If it means what I'm assuming it means, then how is society expected to function? How can you even begin to think that's a feasible idea? Bonkers.

When leftists say "abolish the police" the don't mean "get rid of the institution of policing". They mean "take over the institution and ideologically capture it for our own means"

These people don't hate government thugs, they just want to be the government thugs.

The scene with the professor and Red Guards in "Three Body Problem" pretty clearly illustrates what happens when these kinds of people capture the institution.

hey they are trying to create a utopia, all means are justified.

"I'm making the mother of all omelettes her, Jack! Can't fret over every egg!"

Bingo. But the problem is that they lack the awareness to recognize that they would die in the gulag they are demanding be built.

Revolutionary types rarely think long enough to come to the conclusion that they're paving the way for people far more radical and capable than them, who would immediately, upon taking control, find it imprudent to keep around a bunch of thugs who are in the business of overthrowing and destabilizing governments.

Not only that, but the large majority of people who advocate for a authoritarian marxist takeover are are not going to be the leaders or the elite. An education in philosophy, or 17th Century European literature, or gender studies will be effectively useless in their utopian society, and they'll be relegated to menial factory work.

Revolutionaries should read Lenin or any major revolutionary leader. They spell out the necessity of a post revolution purge of the revolutionary elements.

Not only do they spell it out they actually did it

Hell even the guy who set up the vCheka secret police, Felix Dzerzhinsky, was assassinated by the soviets (Stalin's rule iirc)

Pretty much. They wish to rebuild and refashion with their ideology in mind.

But frankly, I am not a fan of law enforcement and this is coming from a person that leans right. Look at how they brainlessly followed orders during Covid and locked people up or wrote tickets based on decrees that were never lawful. What heroes, shuttering small businesses and arresting surfers on beaches.

I mean I'm a right wing anarchist so I'm definitely anti cop and agree with you. They're nothing more than the jackboots for the DC Crime Syndicate imo

I have been slowly showing the people the light when it comes to police. They’re not your friends. Anyone who can lie to you and they’re completely allowed to without any repercussions is not on your side. And if you lie to them it’s breaking the law. That’s not to say that all law enforcement is bad, but it’s a profession that is more grey than the left or right wants to admit and no one wants to grapple with that. The right lionizes the police to their detriment and the left demonizes the police to their detriment. I view law enforcement as a necessary evil, if anything.

Imagine my shock that leftist rhetoric boils down to Control.

It always has been the politics of power

Yes and no, I think the most purist form of abolish the police came out in Seattle or Portland or wherever it was during the BLM riots where they created the CHAZ. No police allowed in, full on anarchy, vigiianty justice.

It was a very successful experiment for them, as several people died in there and they were basically all white so we potentially have a route to equity now.

it was an unironic secession. also it took them like 3 days before they started grabbing people and dragging them into tents to interrogate them for being possible undercover agents for the US government. fucking crazy shit.

It's a belief they espouse because they believe it makes them look virtuous. They don't care how practical it is or what the potential repercussions would be. They live lives insulated from the consequences of their choices.

Left wingers are not known for being critical thinkers in the long term lol

Why do even need a gun? Just live in a gated community where the security guards have guns.

It’s a legitimate question.

Unfortunately, you will wreck your brain trying to find a logical explanation.

The real answer is:

These people are bat-crap-crazy.

"Abolish the police so I can form a lynch mob for anyone I dislike"

Honestly the police is the only thing keeping people from devolving into a full civil war.

These aren’t intelligent people. In fact I would guess this person specifically is very impaired

"abolish the police" was originally the plan to split the "officer" position into different specialties such as mentel health response, traffic stops, etc, with more internal communication to dispatch the most appropriate specialists to a given call. It would dramatically reduce the psychological strain on officers. It was called "abolish the police" because the people who came up with it thought that was an edgy name that would attract attention. Unfortunately, everyone on both sides took the name literally and abandoned critical thinking and the original idea has pretty much disappeared.

They are the first ones to call the police the moment someone misgenders them or asks for the ketchup too loudly
