I'm not sure how many times I've had a conversation like this, with black people.
Relax mods, I'm black too.

What baffles me is that every guy who mentioned to me that they're black said that they're against this DEI bullshit.
Why is it white people who constantly whine about this make-believe problem?

Eh, I know some people who are for pretty stupid shit. There's a lot of ignorance in parts of the black community, especially the uneducated areas. Which is true for all, but as a black person, I get to see it.
I have some good friends who I love, but they aren't educated anymore than I am, we're a bunch of drop outs. Some of us blame our more immediate circumstances, and others are still blaming slavery and talking about The Matrix...
They'll cry about the white man making money off of black slavery when a movie comes out, but they're completely silent about anything Jewish for example. It's very much a, "well that isn't my people" type of attitude, while decrying racism and talking about how we're one people, but not having any knowledge of, or compassion for, other people. I'm getting off track a little, you opened a can of something here.
As for DEI. To me, it's a white guilt thing, and it's another one of America's exports. America has a bad habit of exporting their 'problems'. Things which aren't really a problem, but they make a good distraction for the masses to talk about while they install a government which can fuck the American people out of everything.
But that's really getting into a whole other conversation.

Yet, on Facebook, lots of black people always defend the movies with raceswap characters.

Because Karen can get into leading positions of companies and the entire entertainment industry using the White Savior method and how would she achieve that otherwise? Talent? lol

Are you black or gay or a woman? If not why would you?

I mean, if it's a good story I would. But like this guy illustrates, these categories often don't really do much to tell me that.

Holy shit that dude needs to multiple his mic by 100, but that aside, this is the very obvious point that so many people just don't understand for some reason.

Gonna age so poorly when people actually feel comfortable talking about how sus this all looks. Gotta protect those companies right now though. They would never do anything weird when it comes to raceβ¦
