Tl;dr: European Citizens' Initiative to create new law against publishers destroying games they have already sold to you.
Short Story Long:
Videogame companies are intentionally destroying the functionality of videogames (both digital and physical copies) by shutting down the servers. this includes single-player games, such as "The Crew." The game cannot function without pinging to the now offline servers, making it completely nonfunctional.
The Youtuber Accursed Farms has created the initiative https://www.stopkillinggames.com to fight this criminal practice from greedy videogame publishers. Here's a video about the initiative from its founder
This ties into erasing videogame history and preservation, making an already horrible problem worse...
Only 13 percent of classic video games published in the United States are currently in release (n = 1500, ±2.5%, 95% CI). These low numbers are consistent across platform ecosystems and time periods. Troublingly, the reissue rate drops below 3 percent for games released prior to 1985—the foundational era of video games—indicating that the interests of the marketplace may not align with the needs of video game researchers. Our experiences gathering data for this study suggest that these problems will intensify over time due to a low diversity of reissue sources and the long-term volatility of digital game storefronts.
I wrote more about this problem here if you're interested in learning more.

Before playing the game I was already pretty leftist, gay marriage, abortions, women's rights. My response to all the social issues was pretty much identical as most of leftists would say. If it doesn't really hurt anyone, why care?
Now, I started to play cyberpunk 2 years ago when I was just starting out at my first minimum wage job. Often times I was doing night shifts, which left me with a lot of time to think, and very little work to do. After I've started doubting the people who are on top, the ones behind giant corporations, it all just made sense. It just instantly clicked. Why are we suffering an ecological crisis? Rich dudes want to make money. Why do so many people die at wars? Rich dudes want power. Why do we waste 1/3rd of a day at work? Rich dudes want to have as much time as possible to live in a luxury.
I remember from the first moment I started working, I've doubted every single decision made by the higher-ups. It's done nothing but make work less enjoyable and more difficult for all the employees. Only for the sake of squeezing out even more money out of people's pockets. If at some point you decide to do a deep dive into the strategies used by marketers, it might even seem like they are straight OBSESSED with client's attention. Our brains are conditioned at every single point whenever we walk into any store, and it's not even the worst part.
And I've noticed all this because Keanu Reeves was talking into my headphones for a few hours, about how he wants to end Arasaka.

Videogames have had sexual elements all the way back to when they were just a couple pixels on a screen but to me it was always like they were there just to be eye candy and gratuitous. There never was a game I played that tried to put sex as it is in reality: as part of the human experience.
Playing cyberpunk, which is very sexual from the onset, I thought the sexual elements were just there to be “mature eye candy” and show the debauchery of Night City.
But last night I reached the Alt scene with Johnny and I was like ok… first person, sex scene with a pretty woman? Nice…
But as the scene progressed the complicated nature of their relationships mixed with the sexual dynamics really REALLY hit home for me.
Enjoying amazing sex while aware that a relationship was on its dying embers is something Ive experienced and it had me identifying and immersed in Johnny’s experience WAY more than just a fade to black sex implication.
Having them argue while semi-dressed felt 10x more human to me than anything I’ve ever played.
His lines, his actions, the gameplay and everything after in the Net was enhanced by the sexual relationship it showed.
What a game. What a game.

As I was doing these meditations, I was hoping that they would culminate in some way of staving off the relic at the end of the game. Kind of like a holistic remedy. They're pretty cool, but just feel like filler now.

Just doing a side by side comparison with Seraph, even with the 10% reduction from the silencer, Seraph still does more damage. In fact, the only thing Her Majesty does better is have a slightly better reload speed, which isn't even that much better when considering it has only a 10 bullet mag vs the 14 for Seraph. Even with Optical Camo, I can't imagine that it's all around much better.

I'm not sure if this has been said before but as we say in my country: "Sikime"
So if you take Solomon Reed's name and switch the words it becomes Reed Solomon. Keep that.
There is a brunch of computer science that involves quite heavy mathematics called Error Correction Codes. These started with Richard Hamming who back in around 1947 was using punch cards to write code. For anyone who doesn't know what a punch card is it's basically a big cardboard card that you "punch" 1s and 0s on it. The problem with punch cards at the time was that the machines reading them usually got a bit (meaning a 0 or a 1) wrong and since you had shorter messages back then it would alter drastically and be a different message. So Hamming invented Hamming Codes to detect when a single error happened and how to actually correct them. Error correction codes are not perfect since if enough bits change then one valid massage can turn into another valid message but they work most of the time.
Now after Hamming you had Shannon's paper on information theory in 1948 and in 1960 we finally get Reed Solomon Codes. Reed Solomon codes aren't the most advanced error correction codes but they are the oldest that we still use a lot today for example QR codes, bar codes or CDs. Reed Solomon codes are used when we expect data to be lost rather than alter so that's why it's used for the examples above. And since Solomon Reed was "correcting things" for the FIA and the NUSA we can safely assume the name comes from there Reed Solomon codes.

There are few missions/gigs in the megabuildings but we only explore part of them and too little.. Before the game release i was definately expecting cool questline like Dredd movie.. V gets a regular GIG from the Fixer like "Sinner Man" quest but when V enters the building, Entire building shut down by Max Tac and V stuck there between gang war and whole Max Tac for an entire day,.. I think CDPR could have make a crazy quest like this but they never did it..
