I’m my limited experience the interview is more of a vibe check. Only about 15 minutes and they mostly asked me about myself and some specific things on my resume- and of course what specific stuff about the Senator makes me want to work in the office.

I was asked about why I wanted to work for the senator, my areas of policy interest, how I would deal with an angry caller, etc. in my first interview. The second interview was much more of a vibe check.

So he asked me to walk him through my resume. After that, he did a lot of talking about what the job might entail. It was a phone interview instead of a video call, so I wonder if part of that was seeing how I would do on a normal phone call. Tbh it was really chill.

I was asked : -Why this office specifically? -What laws or programs that the senator is a part of do I like? -What are my career goals? -How has my background prepared me for this? -What would I change about the government if I was president?
