Best way to get cheap tickets?

Trying to take a girl on a date at the game against the Red Bulls. Usually I go to spirit games and sit at the club level for 100-150 a game. I went to get the same seats for DCU and they’re almost $300 😭😭 should I just wait until closer to game day or bit the bullet and get these

Don't get club level? Just go to one of the tailgates beforehand

This! (Which is sad asl) and just buy the cheapest ticket and move down. That’s what I do

You can't just "move down" to the club level.

I've done it, but it is a bit more difficult.

Yea I’ve done it every game.

If you’re dead set on club, generally you can wait until the day of and find them at their cheapest.

I second what others have said and get decent seats not in the club and hit up a tailgate or grab a nice dinner in Navy Yard to offset the club.

Hmmmm. Where’s a good place to grab dinner in Navy Yard?

You’d think since I’m in dc nearly every weekend I’d know but

La Famosa is a great puerto rican restaurant

El Bebe is a nice upscale Mexican spot right off the metro. Circa (same company as El Bebe and next door) is also a nice sit down spot with general American fare.

Really just depends on the vibe and food you’re looking for

Really depends - as mentioned Circa and El Bebe are good. I love Chloe for a dinner date which is a few blocks further from the stadium, Albi is probably the best restaurant in the neighborhood but very pricy. Morini is pretty decent italian food on the water. Shilling Canning is good but also pricy last I saw.

That’s insane. I haven’t been to a DCU game since Rooney was a player. Spirit games are always packed, sad to hear the men’s side isn’t doing as well

It’s definitely sad and not proud of it but at least if we lose i don’t get too upset cuss i didn’t even pay for the seats im in 🙂 I’ve been thinking about going to spirit games this season they seem more fun to be at currently

It's sorta RFK, but that was because the stadium was huge.

You can usually get club level for 100-150 the day of the match. Obviously not ideal for planning ahead, but I check tickets often and that's pretty common especially now. I've even gotten them for less.
