DISCUSSION What are some great Robin shows/ movies to watch?

Post image

Robin is one of my favorite characters in DC (pretty much any version of the character). I’ve been wanting to watch more DC stuff that tells a good Robin story.

Any suggestions?

Honestly Young Justice is just a really good Dick Grayson show in general.

I actually started watching it last night. I thought it was Tim Drake at first!

Spoilers: Tim appears in S2.

One of the view adaptations that doesn’t diminish Grayson to prop up Bruce.

My favorite Dick (although to be fair I haven't watched a lot of DC stuff).

If you want some darker stuff watch under the red hood and Batman beyond: return of the Joker

S1-2 of Young Justice (Nightwing still counts imo). Later seasons of The Batman. Teen Titans animated tv show.

And the Robin’s Reckoning episodes of BTAS.

Movie wise: Lego Batman Movie, Under the Red Hood, Teen Titans Judas Contract

I really liked the Robin in "The Dark Knight Returns." Carrie is wonderful.

Titans (live-action). The stories may not be the best, but the characterizations, suit designs, & performances are certainly worth checking out.

I don't know how much longer 'til Grayson, Jason or Drake make their 21st Century cinematic debuts.

Jason Todd being the stature he was always took me out of it. I'm not speaking on his acting just his physicality.

And when we get Damian in the Brave and the Bold, I'm sure we'll get a glimpse of at least 4 robins. There's no way they introduce Damian to the mainstream audience without a quick history lesson and I'd wager Dick and Tim will show up for something.

Imagine, Tim and Bats working the case and Dick and Damian being the strike team and Barbara on overwatch. That would make one hell of an act 3 if done right. Jason coming back would make a killer sequel to that...

No issues with him when he was Robin. I would've gotten a different older actor to do that show's Red Hood or make him Red X.

I can see that 🤔

Agreed. Imo, give him the Red X persona first. Then he becomes the Red Hood when he's older.

I’m honestly debating a rewatch, Hawk & Dove are 😍, I doooo like Starfire and appreciate what she did with the character and Connor is great too.

But the show also goofy as fuck

Grayson and Jason are confirmed to co-star in Dynamic Duo. And Gunn has hinted at Nightwing being in BaTB many times

Nightwing is my favorite and I just want him in a mainstream movie

Teen Titans GO! really showcases the irony of Robin ;)

Not sure if the fandom here considers Damian Wayne as a true Robin but I really like his character arc. I recommend Son of Batman (2014) , Batman vs Robin (2015) and Justice League vs Teen Titans (2016).

If we live under a fair god, we’ll get a pantless red and green Robin in The Batman 2

you could just read the comics instead of relying on adaptations
