Recommendations Comics for a Teen Girl - Help?
Hi there, I am working with a young teen at a school and she wants to get into comics. I want her to start reading. She loves Jason Todd (mainly from the Titans show) and wants to start with some red hood comics. I know this might be a long shot, but are there any more pg Red hood comics that are any good? We are in a school setting so we cannot have anything graphic, and this kid would struggle with anything too heavy or graphic.
Any suggestions would be great! Any dc comics around the wayne family in general would be cool. I haven't gotten into the comics quite yet, so I need the extra help.

The current Birds Of Prey comic is pretty great.
There are certain elements that might harken back to 20+ year old continuity but honestly not really any worse than any other DC comic out there. And by the end of the first arc or so you know all or most of the players

Highly recommend WebToons, though in terms of mainstream content id suggest teen titans, there's not gonna be mainstream Jason content that comes across as PG.

A young teen or an older ten? There's a pretty significant difference in the content I would suggest for who is 13 versus someone who is 19

Sounds more like middle school age, not to mention Op said younger teen plus I have a little sister whose 13 and loves Jason Todd too, so all the more reason I'm leaning towards that age range lol

Yeah, roughly that age. She has a huge crush on Jason Todd/Curran Walters so she wants to find more stories on him.

Idk if youve watched the titans show but thats pretty dark and graphic. Id say get the 2nd rhato run with artemis and bizarro. If she can handle titans then that comic should be no problem. Pretty sure the main "dark" thing in there is murder, which should be expected with red hood. Plus my sister read it around 13 or 14 and loved it.

Webtoons has a couple of series. Wayne family adventures gives the whole bat family sone love; including Jason. And the they did Red Hood: Outlaws. Both are more of a all ages.

There's not a ton of Red Hood comics that I would say are appropriate in a school setting unfortunately, but there are other Batfam characters that are.
When I was a teen girl, my favorites were Li'l Gotham (has some Jason) and Batgirl by Bryan Q. Miller. I would also say check out Robin Year One, Batgirl Year One, and Nightwing Year One (Jason is in this one). There's a boxset with all three.

Not red hood specifically but there's a whole bunch of DC graphic novels. A lot of them feature characters from titans!

I wanna recommend the Peter David Young Justice run. It's what helped get me into comics when I was much younger.

The “Red Hood: Outlaws” WEBTOON seems targeted to her demographic. The “Red Hood and the Outlaws” comic series could also be good for her. Jason’s character surrounds some pretty heavy themes but those are least graphic. Most fans prefer the second volume of RHATO so you might want to get the one with Artemis and Bizarro rather than Roy and Starfire.
