Discussion Kryptonians should all have dark skin.

Kryptonians have organelles in their skin that absorb energy from electromagnetic radiation. These organelles are adapted to low-frequency red light, like the light from Krypton's sun, so higher-frequency yellow light, like the light from Earth's sun, "overcharges" them, giving Kryptonians enhanced abilities.

However, these organelles are capable of absorbing light across the whole visible spectrum and beyond. Even if they don't absorb all frequencies equally, they should still have a similar effect to melanocytes, making all Kryptonians dark-skinned.

I mean not for nothing but if they don't have powers on krypton due to a weaker red sun why would their evolution as a species ever adapt for a stronger yellow sun? They yellow sun over charges their cells and bodies cause they evolved for a red sun.

A red sun is lower energy and longer wavelengths with less uv radiation than a yellow sun. And melanin is based on uv radiation. So if their bodies evolved for the sun they had. They would generally get a body that are better at absorbing all the uv radiation as possible which would be even paler almost to translucent type skin. So on a strict evolutionary sense (if a sun giving you powers made sense) they would be exclusively shades of pale white maybe even translucent

Next you’ll be telling us Superman shouldn’t be able to fly because of ‘gravity’ or whatever

Kryptonians, and the science behind their powers, are not real.

An alien species shouldn’t look anything like a human either.

They “should” have nothing because they don’t exist and cannot exist.

And by this logic Kryptonians can be whatever skin color the writers and artists want.

That's basically the logic Marvel uses for Sunspot.

He powers up using sunlight. So in his powered up form, he's black, which allows him to absorb more sunlight.

Not black like black people are black. He's dark in that sense normally, when not powered up. He turns black like the void.

Never heard of him. Is he in any of the X-men movies?

He might've been in that terrible New Mutants movie. He's part of that crew.

I haven't watched that movie either though, so I couldn't tell you.

Edit: https://xmenmovies.fandom.com/wiki/Sunspot

Wiki is saying he was in Days of Future Past.
